1990 Teg Electrical Problems and Overheats

I bought this car since March. It’s a stock b18a1 4dr, oil light on, CEL on, cruise control and fog lights sometimes doesn’t work. I changed the oil pressure switch, oil pump, water pump, timing belt, removed and cleaned the oil pickup tube/screen. And still the oil light comes on. I read somewhere that if I were to disconnect the oil pressure switch, it shouldn’t come on. if it does, then there might be a short. So, I unplugged it and it still illuminates. I guess it’s just a short. There is no knocking sound coming from the engine. I haven’t gotten the pressure checked with a gauge yet but i guess it’s fine since it’s still running and not burning any oil. CAN ANYONE THINK OF WHAT ELSE IT COULD BE??? Maybe my ECU???
It started to overheat the other day when i was going up a hill. So I took out the thermo, stuck a water hose into the housing and flushed out the system. Also used an air compressor to blow it out. And then did that to the radiator. Ran the car w/o the thermo to check if my water pump was working and it is fine. Got a new thermo & gasket in there and ran it. It ran fine after a couple of trips, and it’s back to overheating. I also don’t remember hearing or seeing the radiator fan kick on by itself. When i turn the A/C on, both fans come on and stay on. The rad fan doesn’t come on when it’s past operating temp. Now when I start it, the temp gauge shoots right to normal operating temperature (this is after sitting all night long), stays there till it warms up, creeps to H when i push the accelerator, comes down to about 3/4 at a stop and back up in between 3/4 and H when I give it gas. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON??? BOUT TO LOSE MY MIND!!! thanx in advance

check your fan relay for the overheating/fan not working, but you need to find that short man. It could be shorting out other stuff, like ohhhh a fan relay. :frowning:

Also check ALL fuses, trust me. I had totally weird electrical stuff happen on one of my tegs, and that ended up being a loose fuse! Makse sure fusr #25 has a good connection and is not loose as well. Its the block fuse under driver dash, green w copper tabs.

Will do thanx man
