1991 DA Integra 500whp (Pics Inside)

Ok, so here it goes. I have been working on this car forever! About 6 years now. We just got it streetable about 5 days ago and of course the MSD Distributor goes bad (TDC Sensor). It’s all good though. When it doesn’t throw that code it is a beast. Currently the car is set to default wastegate settings which is 14psi. I will revise the list of Parts a few times. It has been so long I am having a hard time remembering.

Let the Fun Begin…

cool how much power you putting down ?

WOW!! Incredible. I am doing a very similar build right now…I have a build thread on here as well. It’s under Big Bill’s CRVtec. I’m curious what kind of whp you’re putting down with that nasty turbo. Very nice.

Thanks!!!

Right now the setup is on 14psi, on a mild tune, A/F is around 14:1 and the car is making 450-500whp

The setup is designed to hold 35psi and Rev to 12500, right now it’s set to 9000 in hondata and the 14psi is just the spring that came in the Tial BOV.

If my math is right, the car should theoretically make 1000whp?

Once i get a few kinks worked out i am going to take it to a professional, Any recommendations on Tuners? I have a few in mind but always love input.

Where is everyone?

This is a fairly slow site, people will respond though. I have no idea about numbers though. Intense car!

Very nice and fast car man! Glad to see a da getting up there in the numbers

450-500whp?
so you’ve never had it tuned on the dyno yet?

not to bust your balls or take away any credit of your build but honestly i don’t think your around 450whp.
My best guess if everthing is working the way it should and your on pump 92-93 14psi should net you closer to 400whp.

I don’t know of anyone making 1000whp on eagle rods… most i’ve seen is 690-700whp and those rods didn’t last very long with heavy abuse.
There’s zero point of spinning it to 12500rpms. Even large cams like pro2 power drops off around 8600rpms and perhapse for drag racing only would you want to over rev by 1000rpms for better shift points & for traction.

Please take your car to get it tuned.
I’ve seen several nice setups come out of this shop. http://carolinadyno.com/
May not be in your city but should be within reasonable driving distance.

Other choices are closer to you who also have decent client base.

The person that tuned the car has been tuning/racing/building hondas for over 10+ years, I am incredibly Happy with the car thus far. Even though i broke an axle today lol. Driveshaft Shop here we come! Anyways, I appreciate the input on what will be required to sustain 1000whp didn’t know that. I was just excited that the numbers could potentially go that high. This wasn’t my original goal/intention for the car although it’s nice to think about. I am more about consistent components (I.E. Bracket Racking) I know this sounds lame, but the way the car is running right now it really makes me not want to mess with it. Tomorrow i am going to cleanup the axle grease, install new axles fix a small oil leak, replace the distributor with a stock one and RMA the MSD one (TDC Sensor). Order the components for Coil Packs (hondata), Order a better slim fan (non-ebay), work on fixing my passenger side window, Give it a crude Paint Can job just to cover the rust (with proper prep of course) and just keep driving it.

Thanks for the Heads up on Good Tuners!

Update - Snapped my passenger side axle this past week. Putting in 5.9 Axles as well as a new slim fan. I am going to dyno the car as it is before i take it to get it tuned…Then we will see…
