1993 integra build thread .... back into acuras again lol...
Helicoils on the exhaust threads. Looks like a spot that will need a little work to prevent exhaust leaks.

Do you still have the drivers door panel and factory LS-S steering wheel?
yeah i will have to either shave the tip or re-torque it a little deeper in… not a bid deal.

as far as the steering wheels goes yes still have it and the door panel is black. whoever had the car changed the interior to all black instead of the original 2 tone LS-s
I had to stop by to recognize and realize this project build. Anyone new to G2IC as well as the second gen Integra and is really looking to build your Second gen the right way, keep your eye on this thread. It is best do so. Just looking at his S14 build says “quality build” already in the works.

Now, when I say “Quality Build”, please refer to G2IC members like

Don’t sleep on this thread.
I will definitely be keeping a close eye on this project build. StrictlyDA’s, keep it hot. I’m really looking forward to your latest progress every time. Good start thus far!

Sorry i miss your comment earlier, never replied back! lol
But thanks for the support! really appreciate it . i got new updates coming soon

So yesterday it was raining all DAy!!! here in Florida WPB. But of course i did not let that stop me from doing a little work on the car, i got some beach shorts and a Quicksilver Surf shirt i had in the closet and threw it on! Felt like a beach day while i was working on my car LOL… The ligthing was a little scary tho but other than that it went fine… i am still typing this update today! So we good! lol.

yesterday i was able to swap complete rear suspension from the Blue DA onto the White DA. Installed all stock parts into the blue DA and its good to go! just need to take out Carpet, Dash, JDM Cluster and Seats then the shell its good to GO! I don’t need anything else from it Could not take too many Pics due to the rain but i did manage to snap a few here they are.

While i swapped out rear suspensions i cleaned and scrape all the rear grease and dirt from inside the fenders left it ready to Paint. Could not paint due to weather and rain. Im getting all NEW Rotors and Pads so dont mind those rusted ugly ones in there now!

I managed to clean and degrease the front suspension set up. This thing Had mountains of chunk grease all over!! it was gross. Now is clean and ready to change all bushings with the Energy suspension brand new bushing kit that came with the Blue DA never used.

While i was in the Cleaning Mode. Got the rear sway bar cleaned and degreased as well, The Skunk2 LCA bushings were ALL SHOT and DRY ROTTED… What a disappointment i thought SKUNK2 was better than that lol… Anyways i already order new replacement Bushings for the LCA. that should take care of that. Not sure what ima do with that tie bar… but i cleaned it anyways. The JDM radiator support is also cleaned and ready for paint!

Nice progress, and I compliment your work in the rain. Used to live in Brevard County, and I would rather be out turning wrenches in a downpour than 95° sun any day! Will keep an eye on your thread for more updates.

Thank you sir!, yeah it was kinda fun. freshening for sure! compared to the heat!

So yesterday got a little time to mess with the DA and got a little bit of stuff done!

took the whole inside harness, stripped the old tape and RE-taped it with fresh one. little tedious work… took forever and so boring lol but got it done. Look clean

also installed it back in the car and ran both sides of the harness tru the firewall. the drivers side firewall plug was a Bitch!! to get in that hole due to the weird angle and no room… but got it done.

next step is install the carpet. which ill be doing thursday…

So yesterday I got a day off , got to work on the DA . I checked my mail and the skunk 2 lca bushings came in ! Yay !
Here pic.

I greased them up and installed the bushings in

Also managed to paint the inside of the rear quarter panels also . That was overdue from last time but due to rain I could not paint it . This time I got around to .

Also managed to use my old clips and install the harness in the bay.

I also managed to install new Megan’s coilovers sleeve and springs that came with the car … So why not . The rears were quite annoying , took some banging in but got them done . Replaces those old rusted sleeves and springs it had before . Still gotta paint the shock towers but I’ll do that next time .

After that me and my brother started taking apart the interior in the blue DA , managed to notice that the seatbelts were manual instead of auto like my white DA , eventho I took the seat belt track off lol .
Can’t tell if they are the Oem manual DA seatbelts or modified ones. Still better than those auto ones.

I also managed to paint the Jdm bumper support for a fresh look .

Finished the day off with a little bonding with the little bro ! Teaching him a few things ! Wouldn’t be fair to not give him some credit for helping me all the way through this build ! Hope his leaning something lol … Had to take steering rack off to property install the firewall harness . So we got it back on .

Awesome work!! I love the paint on the undercarriage, it makes me want to re do mine!! I’m excited to see some updates!!

thanks bro! that rustoleum paint is saving my life. i made sure i got a good coat so it last. and its cheap!! $2.99 /can in Wallmart. Im trying to build the car with all fresh materials but also on a budget! so far im happy with the results. Got more updates coming soon…

Which rustoleum product?

I used enamel . I got it from Walmart is like 2.99 per can . Pretty big size can also .

got some updates…

So yesterday me and my brother went at it again. got some work done in the DA here some pics.

first we started by installing the front JDM radiator support.

After got insalled the firewall harness and connected all plus to the fuse box and grounds and etc. This pic dont show all connected properly but we did. is just for refference to the work lol.

We also installed the Carpet, it was really dirty we vacuumed it and cleaned it some. still needs little more cleaning but ill detail it later at my job, they got a really strong vacuum there that will suck all the hairs and dirt out. Although this is a street/track build i wanted to at least have carpet in for a cleaner look, rather than run the no carpet look.

Also installed some DC2 seats that came in the blue DA. looked better than mines so i used these. (only 3 bolts lined up…just so you guys know)

As soon as we finished the interior, we passed all the cables tru the firewall. throttle, clutch etc… leaving the engine bay ready for swap. Im dropping engine Sunday!

So as soon as we finished the interior and engine bay, we went to the back and started to install rear suspension. i ended up not painting the shock towers black since i am getting new full body coil-overs soon. I got new Front and Rear rotors on the way!!! so dont mind these old rusted ones. My pads are still pretty new tho

So before installing the Skunk2 LCA had to install the exhaust! i was not going to make the mistake of installing it without the exhaust to have to take it all down. Lesson learned in the past. also installed the rear sway bar and the beaks tie bar. eventually ill take that gay sticker off … for now my priority is just getting car running.

After rear suspension was installed, we swapped wheels. we installed the XXR’s in the blue DA because the tires were shot! all 4! The Ls WEBS had new Falken tires all around so you cant go wrong with that. I also wanna give some credit and show some love to the blue DA for being an organ donor! and helping me with some parts and saving me money!

So to end the day! and get the engine ready! for sunday! I swapped intake manifold! installed my VictorX Kevlar manifold on. Eventually ill get a Billet TB for a cleaner look. this b16 TB has been ported to 70MM so it will do the job for now.

And finally installed my Hasport Cable to Hydro kit.

That’s a sick IM, I’d love to get a vicky X on mine.

thanks bro! yeah it does looks pretty dope. once i paint the valve comer it will come together… if i find a kevlar valve cover ima get it. if not ill paint this one.

Talking bout Billet TB i picked this up just now! got a deal on a Odyssey lightweight battery with the bracket and a STR 70MM Billet TB for B series. paid $100 for both. so i could not let it pass.

engine drop update…

So yesterday i took a day off work! and finally got to time to start the engine drop. Before anything i went to harbor Freight and picked up one of those Tent/canopy because i was sick of the rain and sunny heat bothering me while i was working on the car outside. I really should have gotten this weeks ago! if i knew how much better makes the working enviroment!

Here is a pic! got plenty of room to work under the tent with no sun or rain! in the way

Soon after me, my brother and my sister helped me set up the tent! (yes i know took 3 people to do it lol.) 2 of my good friends showed up to support me and drop the engine in safely without any issues. went in nice and smooth!

So after all been said and done! the engine is finally in. I was hoping to start the engine yesterday but of course! something always happens. ran into some issues.
so of the issues were:

The swap came with OBD2 dizzy and OBD2 injectors. I HAD a OBD1 harness made out not OBD2. so luckly i had a spare OBD1 dizzy from the blue DA which we shaved the extra leg and bolted in perfect. Also luckly i had some OBD1 injectors from the Blue DA again… and saved the day! swapped those over and plug right in.

I’m very interested in your harness problem because I was going to order a tucked harness and I feel like I’ve noticed that it does connect to the strut tower main harness plugs…hopefully someone can chime in

i called the people who i got the harness from and they forgot to send the chassy harness… so hopefully when they send it ill be able to turn the engine on.
that was a bad mistake lol… hopefully they send the right one.

So yesterday i did a little work in the DA. i got to install the shift linkage. Upgraded the bushing to Energy Suspension. still need to get a BITCH pin for the linkage.

Also got some time to install the front end. Installed the Carbon Fiber fenders and also the front bumper. The fenders took a little work to fit them as best as possible, also had to do some trimming around the corners to fit them in properly, by all mean THESE WERE NOT A EASY FIT.

Here are some pics. At the end the front end lined up perfect!!! i like how it came out. everything is nicely even all around.

I was going to install the Headlights but they need some cleaning and polishing so ill do that next week. meanwhile i took a quick pick of them without them being bolted on. This pic was before i installed the bumper on.

Thats pretty much all i did! yesterday not a whole lot but something is better than nothing!

Looking good, three day weekend… I’m stuck chopping down an areca palm in my front yard! 11 hours on it today and I have about 3 more hours worth of work on it tomorrow. Rather be rebuilding my CRX Y1 tranny with the Synchretec carbon rebuild kit I got in the mail yesterday. At least it did not rain today in Palm Beach…
