okay, so I have a burnt valve on my b17a and instead of messing around on a valve job etc I can pick up a complete head and get that on there…now will a 1st gen b16 head work for me? I take it I would have to use my injectors etc

yeah, any vtec head will fit a vtec short block.
it’s the same so yes.
btw if you just spot for headwork (valvejob, port, polish) you couldget a set of cams and make more power.
I need my car on a daily basis so I cant afford down time…I’ll get a head and get that worked perhaps and then I will just be able to swap the heads out and be done.

Make sure you get a B16 cause if you get a P72 (gsr) head you will need to get a new intake manifold.

Personaly I don’t think the Type R head is worth the money. The mild port that it comes with is not worth what the head will cost you.
well if one comes up for a decent price I’ll get it but its not priority…getting a complete working head is tops right now…too bad I missed out out a complete b16a head for 250…dammit!
