Figured out hazard issue and replaced fuel filter. This thing runs like a champ, I’m almost tempted to keep it since its come so far, but selling would mean a vr4 ahead of schedule…decisions decisions
Been a little while but new update. Wheel bearings have been tended to…as well as lbj’s and tie rods. Oh and since the pads wore weird, turned rotors and new pads. Alignment scheduled for next week on my day off. Went the extra mile and brushed all bolts and added anti seize. I am the anti seize king!!! lol Will be a delight to work on next time.
As you can see about the only thing left to change would be plug wires and air filter other than that the whole car has been gone through. I may do master bushing kit if I find another seller at a good price… pics of old shit to come
That carpet was nasty. Good to see some life being brought back to an aging chassis.
I do what I can. Not half bad for $1400, random parts and some time. I already have another shell to revive but that one will be more labor intensive. looking like a spring project lol.
And I might add; all of this happens outside-no garage-with a backyard mechanic set of tools. But with my new job in a freezer I’m slowly getting used to it.
