First is every now and then my car begins to start and then dies and it wont start for several minutes almost like it was flooded but it’s not flooded(almost positive)
It happens so sparatically and there is no clear sign of what was just taking place to make it up and refuse to start for at least 3-5 minutes. When it does this if I try to start it, it will just keep turning over and over and it’s only after I let it set for a dew that it will start up like nothing ever happened. Friggin wierd. Anyone?
Second and most importantly does my 91 gs with B18a1 have a 4 wire ,2-wire ,1-wire O2 sensor or what?
And does it have to be heated or can it be unheated? why do they even sell unheated ones for the integra if it needs to be heated?

First off you have 2 one wire o2 sensors. As for the starting, does it do it more when the cars warmed up or all the time?
Even 9if I’m running my exhaust thru a dc sport header? I looked and only saw the one 1-wire sensor. And my car usually does the temporary wont start thing usually after it’s been driven and thouroughly warmed up. It’s almost as if it’s been flooded but no smell of gas or excessive use of the gas pedal preceed the event.:wtf:
It’s been happeneing on 2 different engines also. I just replaced my old B18a1 with a newer B18a1, so it has to be with something with the head ,intake, exhaust system as they all were carried over from the previous engine. Could an O2 sensor do this?
Ignore Sirtef9’s comment about the O2 sensors, he’s wrong. The jdm b16a’s had two single wire O2 sensors, not USDM b18a1’s.
90-91 Integra = ONE, single wire, non-heated O2 sensor, located in upper portion of exhaust manifold
92-93 Integra = ONE, 4 wire, heated O2 sensor, located in the collector, right before the catalytic converter
Your starting problem could be a couple things, but the most common starting problem with similar symptoms is the Main Fuel Relay. Do a search, the topic has been covered EXTENSIVELY.
You can’t really flood our engines in the normal sense of the word, that’s a characteristic of carbureted engines, not fuel injected ones.
