I’ve got a four door JDM 89 integra Xsi and was wondering if a rear bumper designed for the two door version would fit straight on.
Any help?
cheers

No…the rear bumper cover for a 2door will NOT fit on a sedan.
By the way…any pics of your DA8?
Hmmm but the front will fit right? How hard would it be to modify the rear to fit or is it not worth it
I’ll send you some pics once its painted
The front will fit with no problems.
The reason for the rear not fitting onto a sedan and vice versa to a coupe is because of the length from the wheelwell to the bumper.
I was thinking about custom fitting a coupe bumper cover(I was thinking the RS rear from wingswest)…but figuered that it would be too much of a hassle. Instead I’m going to get a rear bumper cover from the more recent sedan (92-93 sedan rear over here in the USA…91-92 over there in NZ). Should be an easy fit. If you do decide to custom fit the coupe rear then please post pics!!

But if i took it to a panelbeater who deals with kits they would be able to modify it to fit or is it a pretty big job to do?
I’m thinking that they will cut away the sides, apply fiberglass or whatever else material to extend the bumper towards the wheel well. I think that’s how they would do it.
IT FITS FINE. the problem is the spot where the bumper slides on, on each side is exposed. the only differance is the angle of the wheel well, i had a 2dr bw bumper on my 4dr for like almost a year. i was just going to cut that section out. i never even bothered trynig to put a stock 2dr bumper on my 4dr, but im sure it will fit fine. just doesnt look right when you see the metal there.
OK, it will fit but some metal will be exposed but it should be able to be modified with a little effort to fit properly?
confirm this so i can go buy it

Post something useful or not at all…
Heres a bit of useful info…
Its not worth it… The sides behind the rear wheel well are just too long on the sedan, plain and simple.
If you have a 2 door bumper already, time, money, patience, and body work skills then ya anything can be done… but why not just go buy the correct fitting bumper?
But if you decide to try, G/L!
