2" drop on Teins ?

For daily driving i know 1.8 is a good drop, but what about a 2in drop in Tein Springs ?

Tein S-Techs give you more than a 1.8 or 2 inch drop. its closer to 2.5-3.0 inches. i’m sitting on S-Techs right now, and my front tires are ALMOST tucking. there is NO wheel gap.

i read everywhere saying a 2in drop if the wheels are almost tucking that should be a horrible ride for daily driving huh? should i just get H&R 1.8in drop ?

here’s what s. tech techs will look like.

good 4 daily driving u guys think ?

I dd mine and don’t have a problem. My exhaust will occasionally rub and the stock front crossmember will also. Just like any lowered car you have to be more alert about road conditions.

man you better get those springs! theyll be fine. i was dropped about 4" on Tein SSs. Daily.

I have had h&r sprt (1.8 inch drop) for a few years, and i daily drive on 17in wheels. Ride is stiff, but its doable. Especially since it handles like a friggin porsche. I never rub, and i only bottom out on some speed bumps. If i had any idea how to post pics id show it to you.

im somewhere in the neighborhood of a 4 inch drop on my tein ss as well on my onle car so it gets driven daily.

Neuspeed Sports are 1.8 too. No complaints here. But yeah, you have to be more alert to road conditions.

:getsome: :manual:

Corniest quote ever: "Get yours today! JDM is IN!"

That looks like a nice drop. I got some neuspeed race springs coming in. 2" drop. Im excited.

man everyones drop on teins looks diff to me =/

im debating spending 800+ on full coils, or just buying some illuminas and some tein springs, all i do is daily the car. so idk.

confused teins s is 2in drop correct ?

I’m using tokico blue’s as well. I know for a fact that the front has settled a bit but not that much. The advertised drop is 2.0in.

oops

well that’s what they are supposed to be but the front spring rates are lower that stock rates so you get more of a drop mine basically looked like nar93da’s pic

Another thing, if you like to do any aggressive driving then you need to look into different springs. To me the S tech’s have to low of a spring rate and they are going to limit your driving. They won’t instill that much confifence when your car rolls so damn bad when you take a corner fast. For that reason I’ll be switching to full coilovers pretty soon.

are the spring rates good enough not to harm the struts.

Yea my stock shocks are still perfect and i had those tein s techs on for about six months. I wouldnt get them though, i bottomed out one day on a manhole cover and it bent my crossmember and pushed my differential into my tranny case(O yea that was going less than 5 mph). If your’e just looking for something cheap get some dropzone or ground control style coilovers.

The spring rates are the same if not softer then the stock springs I believe. I’ve got tokico blues for strut’s and the ride is really good but like I said above if you plan on buying these for performance look elsewhere. In my opinion these springs are only for looks.
