First. What would cause my engine to run hot at idle with no leaks in radiator and hoses? Also. Will an engin from a 94 honda civic vtec fit into a 92 integra LS?
Do your fans work? I’d start there. if they don’t work that can make your car overheat ar idle.
Why would you want to put a single over head cam motor in a G2? It’ll fit ya, but I don’t know that there is a kit or anything like that for mounts or whatever. Just curious as to why you would want to do that.
I was considering it due to the fact the 92 isnt a vtec. And It lacks power for unknown reasons. and yes the fans work.
idk how to make it fit but here there is a car trying to get sold on craigslist with a d series motor(even turbo’d). and it never does cuz trust me bro dont do it why would you want so much of a downgrade. vtec is really cool and powerful but dont do it. b18 stock will beast any d series motor stock or modded all the time. the b18a1 in our cars is a beast just mod it a bit. well these are all my opinions lol.
I will probably just keep it and Rebuild whats in it. I have a 91 and a 92 sitting in my yard. The 91 has so much more power than the 92 and I cant figure out why. Same motor

did you bleed all the air out does it still overheat with the heat on have you recently done any changes?
Did you bleed the coolant lines? VTEC (especially in SOHC) is over rated IMO. Non vtec motors can be beasts without vtec. Don’t get caught up on the VTEC craze. Is it fun to play around with yes, but don’t downgrade just to get it. Either do an LS/VTEC or a GSR swap.
Yes I bled the lines. It first done it today. And I cant turn the heat on. My Blower doesnt work. Cant figure that out either.
Interesting story with this car. I bought it for $500. Needed about $700 of work to get it running and street legal. On the Car it had g2ic.com Stickers all over it. Thats how I learned about this site. Its A Solid car. Power windows locks and sun roof. But lacks some power. Like it hesitates. And the blower for the heat. Other than that. Its a Nice Ride.

what does the oil look like? you say it has no power an it over heats maybe it a blowen head gasket an it is leaking in to the oil or some were also an can not see it i would do a leak down test…am or i would change the radiator cap probley do that first that could be bad
So a stock b18 will beat any D16(z6 or y8), regardless of mods on the D series? I doubt that is what you were trying to say. If so, I highly doubt that. Ask me how I know
I agree that the stock b18 once boosted would make a nice powerplant. Otherwise, I would look into a LS/VTEC set-up.
