getting it recarpeted soon too
You should get some plastic dye for your back panels.
it makes it darker??? where do they sell that at walmart???
They might sell some kid of dye at wal-mart but they aren’t to good. I would try to find some sem dye. I was told the krylon fusion wasn’t to bad but i don’t know what colors it comes in
its called sem dye?? do u think if i got the black it would make it black?? my panels are kind of bluish but i like the way that other teg looked with the tan carpet and black panels. plus i have a tan interior about to go in
In terms of black panel dye / ways to make it OEM black… Heres what I did…
First off, my interior was half-stock GS black, half ricer retarded white… Everything white I ripped out and tried painting with Krylon plastic paint… It didn’t stick and just bubbled off…
I had a few cans of Dupli-color engine enamel that were sitting in the trunk as well, and tried that, it also bubbled off…
My buddy had painted his entire car in spray can based bed liner - and it covers and sticks to EVERYTHING… So I bought two cans and gave it a roll… First coat covered perfectly… I added a coat of the engine enamel overtop as it’s thinner and filled in some of the textured cover that the bedliner leaves - and it looks OEM… When theres some light out I’ll grab a few pics and post 'em up…
The bed liner I used is "Dipl-color Truck Bed Coating - comes in a blue can.
nice tip, in for pics
i did this too. i kept the cargo cover too so i can still keep my subs out of sight at night time with a black cloth

Oh godd I forgot about this thread completely. Yeah - I replaced most of my interior with GSR stuff - only thing left is my ebrake cover that’s painted but I’ll grab some side by sides tomorrow when it’s day time again
:x
im so down for that mod
how much weight do u actually lose removing the rear seats like 30 lbs? ill gladly sacrifice the weight to keep my rear seats…
here is mine i like it alot
i didnt do mine for weight reduction. i like the look and it gives me a reason to not give people rides in the back seat when im lowered
exactly i removed my back so that i dont have to give people rides only me and my girl can ride
:iagree::iagree::iagree:
I did this Tooo !!! posting pics shortly
thats funny that people bring this up. i had done this about 2 weeks before i even read this thread. i lowered my teggy and i made the mistake of taking 3 people for a ride. needless to say every bump in the road was another mark on my exhaust :bawl: so the next day i pulled out the back seats and seatbelts and just layed the carpet out. thought it looked pretty clean myself.
