thats not true… its all in the tuning…i have a 160whp ls (on a mustang dyno)
with a completely stock a bottom end…and its very streetable.
now as far as 200whp im not sure of as i am going FI instead of NA
im trying for 215 hp with my NA set up.
i approached it a little different though, i swapped a B18C and im going from there.
have a goal and shoot for it. ive been told its going to be very hard and very epensive to get to my goal.
im not stopping. im sure as shit running out of money though…lol

200whp in a NA non-vtec is not streetable AT ALL. a member has a barely streetable 160hp @the wheels LS, with like a Gude performance head. I would bet that 200whp out of a NA LS is nearly impossible
This is so false, im right now putting down 162whp in my ls and its totaly streetable plus im stick rocking stock intake manifold and tb. going for 175 whp after few more goodies get added.
200 hp is a good starting point, but your going to want more and its alot of work to get to 200hp…my buddy put about $4-5k in his motor and only got 216 hp and can’t even hang with s2k
