For anyone else interested, here’s the link. I skipped forward to around 20 minutes. I’m running it at 1.5x speed.
havent seen the video yet but would they still let you keep the car or do they take it?
I’m not sure if this is always the case, but Jason had his E30 way underinsured, and they were at total loss damage, and he got them to basically write him a check for just under 85% of his insured value with him paying the rest.
She’s home!
What you may notice, is that one of the pics is at a gas station. I don’t actually think there’s anything catastrophically wrong with the auto trans. I drove the car around the neighborhood for 45 minutes tonight. We were definitely down a cylinder, which a new set of plugs helped out with.
Under harder acceleration, though, the car stumbles and does weird stuff. But if I floor it in S4 mode, it will downshift and most of the time it clears out and accelerates. Maybe I need more tune up parts. But the trans working is a huge win.
I will say that doing a transmission drain/refill does AMAZING things. When I did it the first time, the car shifted like it was BRAND NEW.
The problem is that I daily drive my cars so I don’t think Hagerty will work for me. I should still give them a call though to see what they recommend.
I just went through the process and stated how I drove both Integras. They didn’t prevent it from getting the quote. Price was decent considering “similar” coverage. StateFarm will only give me $1,500, and Hagerty will give me $8,000 (which is what I submitted from looking at sales on Bring-a-trailer.com).
For anyone who loves these cars, it might really be worth it.
oh wow its even been debadged. maybe it is low on transmission fluid?
looks very clean not a scratch on her! i want your fenders so bad lol because those are damaged on mine
someone mustve put alot of money into that car to get it fully repainted
They definitely put some money into fixing it up. It presents well but it’s not without it’s flaws- the rear quarter arches have filler and the spots where the rockers meet the rear quarters are pretty heavy on the filler as well. But for what I paid I will never complain lol
Just to follow up: I got rejected by Hagerty. In Florida, the cars MUST be garaged. They failed to tell you that up front. It was a waste of time and now I’m pissed off and back to square one.
I hate this insurance game: car, medical, life, disability, umbrella, vision, dental. SO much of my paycheck going to stuff “JUST IN CASE” is so fucking frustrating! /vent.
and I hate dealing with robots on the phone when calling medical stuff, so frustrating
