(21 SEP 2025) What are you doing with your Integra this week?

replaced headlights since one was cracked but the after market headlights were wired for 9007 bulbs but i have 9004 so had to figure that out and now the fog lights turn in but blow the fuse after a little…

9007 bulbs? How strange.

I missed your comment about the fuse. I had fuse blowing a lot too. I believe it has to do with how the single wire clears the housing. I found that part of the wire was resting on a metal part and it was short circuiting. I put some tape on there and it never happened again. Then I switched to LED so the load wasn’t high too.

9004 and 9007 are wired differently, he probably mixed the wires up more. He probably has power going to a ground

Wondering how to get it home! I’m thinking U-Haul trailer and Enterprise pickup truck.

Just bought this beauty last night. It’s auto and the transmission is too questionable to make the 2-hour trip back home right now. But I am STOKED. I’m networking all over marketplace to pull together parts to manual swap it now…

wow you guessed it thats why it was was working for 30 minutes and then stopped lol. kept blowing fuse because power wire shorted to bulb socket sending 12v straight to ground

1990? i can tell because no hood emblem like mine  . very nice

i did have the wires all wrong at first because the colors of wires on aftermarket housing dont correlate with the colors or original wiring because the yeah 9007 and 9004 have differnt pin layout… i fixed that but then it still popped the fog light fuse after they worked for 30 minutes.

A guy in a Chevy truck damaged my rear bumper at work while attempting to park. He didn’t see my car ā€œbecause it was dark.ā€ Damage isn’t bad, but I’m worried about sourcing a rear bumper.

ā€œWhy do you own a car that you cannot park safely?ā€

I think you’re in Florida, so not sure how helpful this can be, but there’s two red cars near me up here in WI that are being parted out. I could inquire if you want. But also from my autotempest searches it seems like there’s an above-average concentration of second gens in FL, so maybe you can find something local.

Thanks! I’m so excited. It’s very clean, one of those situations where an old couple has owned it for 20+ years. Can’t wait to enjoy it.

i guess yours is canadian model since it has a sun roof. i wonder why some have white handles but mine has black handles like the side trim is black. maybe because its US model?

Mine’s been repainted, so they probably chose to paint the handles!

oh noo. and in that situation its risky to go through insurance cuz they might total it like mine. im sure youll be able to find a bumper sooner or later

yeah the offender is willing to work without insurance. I’m going to two body shops today to get estimates.

Best case scenario in my opinion.

I think I’m going to get Hagerty for mine once I get it back to my place.

I need to look at new insurers as well. Both tegs are valued at $1,500 each according to Kelly Blue Book. My insurance company stated that’s the limit they will pay. Given that labor charges are INSANE right now, it wouldn’t take much at all to ā€˜total’ the car.

An agreed-value plan is probably going to cater to your car better than conventional insurance. Hagerty calls it ā€œGuaranteed Valueā€.

If you have an hour and a half to kill, listen to the Carmudgeon Show Podcast episode 197. Jason Cammisa goes into detail of how Hagerty handles business, both when you create your plan and when something happens to your car.
