3rd cylinder missing

Heys wats good g2ic fans, i got a 92 teggy ls stock everything. Recently i found that the 3rd cylinder is dead. I changed spark plugs (old one looked like shit, it was all black.). I swapped fuel injectors and wires and still the 3rd cylinder is dead.Still havent done a pressure test but will post up when i do, im thinking it could be either a leak in the head gasket by the 3rd cylinder or bad oil rings in the piston,. Please comment if you had this type of problem and fixed it so all the readers can get helped when looking for a similar problem.

How many miles on the car??

154,xxx

ignition, fuel, compression. check in that order

checked ignition and fuel now gotta do compression, off to autozone

how did you test for fuel and ignition? please be descript

the way i checked for ignition was that i put a spark plug looking tool that is used for checking spark at the end of the wire, and i got spark but i also changed the spark plug just incase. cause that tool is only used to check to see if the wire is good. for fuel basically i took all the fuel injectors out and then clean them and put em back on but i swapped the 3rd cylinder injector with another one just to see if it couldve been the injector but nope still 3rd cylinder was dead.

welfare i would like to know on how you would take on this task
please inform me on checking fuel and ignition

bang on with the ignition test. HEI tester. best way to go.
for fuel, you’ve only confirmed that the injector wasn’t at fault. run the car for a minute. pull out number 3 plug. check for fuel on the plug. if theres fuel on the plug, it’s reaching the cylinder. next, i would check for injector pulse. if the injector pulses, fuel on plug, you’ve confirmed fuel. move onto compression.
matter of fact, do a quick check for excessive blow by before checking anything

when you say plug you mean the electrical connector connected to the fuel injector?, also how would i do a blow by check?

spark plug. sorry. for blw by, with the engine running, remove the oil fill cap. if you see compression huffing out the hole, that’s excessive blow by. caused by either a cracked piston or rings

so take the oil fill cap off and do i cover my hand over it and see if i feel any type of pressure comin out?

yes. if you’re pushing a compression stroke through the pcv, it’ll be obvious

oo ok so disconnect the pcv off and see if its huffin out off there too

no. just the fill cap

ok did that n yes it is huffin out but people say its normal

a little is normal, yes. will the oil fill cap just about float on it?
you should really just run the compression test at this point. there’s no grey area with numbers
