So I got a problem… Do I have to take the bottom crossmember of of my car to put my Megan Racing 4-1 header on?(how hard is it to take off) I don’t see any other way to get the header in. If someone has some pics of the crossmember cutting for clearances so I kinda have an Idea how much to cut that would be great too.
heres a pic of my Megan 4-1 Race header. From the pic it looks like i cut alil too much but if memory serves me correctly i had to cut that much to make it fit dont ask me why cause i forgot. U definately need to take the crossmember off. The middle bar the runs on the crossmember to the back that also needs alot of cutting or else it’ll it wont fit at all or vibrate like crazy against the header.
I don’t have any pictures but I have the same header and all I did was take it off and beat it with a bat. It gives it enough clearance to not vibrate that crossmember but you still have to cut the bar that runs under the engine.

jayce93da… Where and how much of that bar needs to be cut? Never heard of that needing to be cut…
I’m not sure how much needs to be cut off but I know it does because my header rattles against it all the time cause I didn’t cut it.
You really don’t have to cut that much:

Also you can eliminate the bar the connects the front cross member to the rear one. Its not needed and also Acura excluded the bar in the 92-93 GS-R.
you pretty much just cut the lip on the crossmember where the header lines up. thats all i have in my car.
