403cams w/ camgears questions

ive done searching but i havent come up with a set answer.

my current engine mods are, intake, header, nocat, catback exhaust
im thinkin about purchasing a set of crower 403 cams, with cam gears, along with springs and retainers…
if i get it tuned how much am i looking at gaining/ how well will it work on an otherwise stock engine if i keep the revs at around 7100.

bump i need some answers…

crazy seaman ive done searching but i havent come up with a set answer.

That’s because there is no set answer. There are many varibles between engines that effect the power, like the specific mods and condition of the rings, valves, ignition system, and tune.

The crower site has dyno sheets of 403’s with similar mods. And their numbers are pretty consistent with what I have seen posted by individuals with similar set-ups.

kk now wut am i looking with stability with running these on an otherwise stock motor

i came across a thread on hondatech about t.i. retainers earlyer today but forgot to save the link… if any one knows the link. please post it. bottem line of the the thread was that the t.i. retainers wear and alot of the times fail around the 20k mile range. the guys who know what they were talking about mentioned that you can call crower and ask for chromoly (not sure about the spelling) retainers. pretty much you can put them in and forget about them or something.

dont quot me on this untill i find the thread there is a huge amount of info in there but its spread out over 5 or 6 pages…
