if the body on the white one is better i say you just keep that one. the gsr will always rust no matter what you do to it. unless you acid dip that shit which i dont think your doing.

From what the pictures look like of the black db. I would say it was a flood car at some point, from the way the floor rusted out like it did, or had water sitting in the floor pan for done time.
If I was you I woild scrap the entire wire harness inside it, all it takes is a little bit of water inside the wires to cause all kinds of headaches down the line.
No dude it’s just Canadian winters… Here they use salt and salt cause rust like u would not beleive I’ve had several tegs rusted somewhat like this it’s when u get in with boots on and the water sits there with salt in it
And redteg Ull b faster till u get down here and help me with a turbo setup… Mayb next summer??

Wow forgot about this thread… well. i might as well update!!
The Black DB2 is gone. i stripped and scrapped the car.
The white DA is put away for winter and i have taken the B17 and fully rebuilt it(back to stock for this summer) i have started stacking up parts to build the head and stuff but i just did seals and gaskets so this summer i can drive the car and just enjoy it.
just before i put her away i gave her a nice compound and wax she looks amazing
Interior is stripped,manual convertion completed,black dash installed,black door panels installed,i picked up some ITR Recaros today and some LS Mesh(planning on painting them white with a anodized purple lip) i guess you want pics!
After the compound… (i also spent a good 2 hours cleaning up the onepeices that night)
Plans for this week are to get the B18 out and the B17 in and the take apart all 4 wheels/brakes/suspention and paint the wells black… hopping on getting a JDP lip and some civic sides this week but well c … oh and some tires…put back together the interior and final touches on the manual swap… ill keep u guys posted now that i got a good cam i can take pics of it allll 
once shes running strong ill get to suspention and bracing and stuff:)
picked up all the paint today for the mags and also decided the Valve cover will be white with purple lettering and same for the intake. once the car is repainted i will probably paint the bay black or purple but purple has been done before so i dono
damn in the beginning i thought this thread was gonna be a good gsr build but seeing the floor rotted made angels cry lol, and #96 damn low number haha.
the RS build is looking like a good one tho she is pretty mint, and those seats are sick. gl keep us posted
yea bro i was hoppin to save the DB2 aswell but a few people made me realize this body was way more worth it so thats the path i took. shes commin along. im acctually workin on the seat fitment right now!

Tiny update…
the past few days i couldnt do much with the teg seeing as how we had near 10 cm of snow a day for the past 3 days:(
today i had some sun out so i cleaned all the snow from around the teg and got her up in the air as high as possible. Wheels came off suspention and brakes are off and ready for warm weather to paint the wells… the calipers are getting a freash paint job aswell and the stainless brake lines will be installed after paint. im unsure on the color i will paint the calipers seeing as how the car is white, mags white with purple lip, calipers Bronze??Black?? i dont kno yet…
I began trying to mod the stock rails to fit the Recaros today aswell, i kno how it will be done i just need some bolts and stuff from the hardware store tomorrow morning… i will make a clear Pic heavy write up once im done…
Today i got alot of prep done on the mags, they are all sanded and ready to be cleaned and painted. I am again waiting on the hardware store to open tomorrow to get some tape and primer.
thats my little update for today. i probly wont do much over the weekend seeing as how my girlfriend wants to do a bunch of crap this weekend so im probly stuck doing things outdoors that dont involve my teg 
but ill live.
