90-91 Type R lip too ugly?

Is the 90-91 type R lip that ugly as lots of people say they are? I haven’t seen much of them on the 90-91 DA’s. The pics on ebay look kinda alright. Anyone have close up, front and side to side pics of the lip… I’m planning to get one but kinda hesitant…

I’ve always been a fan of OE lips on both DA bumpers, so I’d have to say they’re not so much ugly as they just don’t look as good as OE lips.

here’s mine before a rock on the highway claimed it. it looked a lot better in person but after a while the fact that it really doesn’t follow any of the lines on our 90-91’s grew on me, so maybe the rock did me a favor. except, you know, losing out on the money i paid for it

The one’s I’ve seen never line up correctly. That’s why they look bad to me.

yeah it was kind of a bitch to get it to line up, and in the end, it didn’t line up. back to stock for me

Yes, those lips are butt ugly, but that lip on the green teg looks AWESOME!!!

has anyone tried to put a 92-93 ABS plastic front lip on the 90-91 front bumper? i’d like to know the differences.

The lip on the two cars are the same. I don’t think its a bad look but again it never lines up correctly. Its up to you though your money.

the one on the black car is the 90-91 “Type R” style lip

the green one has the Wings West lip for 92-93’s

I actually think its nice…So many things are considered rice these days? I don’t really think its that flashly…It looks straight to me…Where would you get foglights like that on the black one? I’ve been looking everywhere?

I think the Type R lip looks very nice on Superchi’s teg… especially paired up with those fogs! The only thing I don’t like about the lip is the sides… looks kinda weird but overall… doesn’t look that bad.

i think their reasoning is that the type r lip is too ‘round’ for the ‘boxy’ DA/DB…i think thats the reasoning, but i think it fits quite well…but ima ricAR:burnout:
