(90-93 Integra) K&N drop-in filters for under $12 on Amazon

Amazon.com apparently sells K&N drop-in filters (I’m not talking about a reseller through Amazon) for our cars and the price has finally come down under $12. If you are still rocking the OEM intake system, there is no reason not to get this filter.

Yes, it is cheaper than retail on the cleaning kit (although I don’t think it is appropriate to throw away a perfectly good K&N just because a newer one is cheaper than cleaning the old one).

That should be a direct link to the correct filter (33-2028) and as of the time of this post, it is being sold through Amazon for that price, not just through some random 3rd party.

Good find!

Whats wrong with people buying new filters for their car? Yea cleaning it is good, but it comes to a point where you have to actually replace it. Are you saying that you should only buy a new K&N filter if it is needed, rather than waisting your money?

seems to good to be true. it was $58. has anyone actually bought one for the $12 price yet??

Lol. I thought the same thing. I’ve had one sitting in my cart for almost a month. It went down from $15 to almost $11, then went up a few cents the other day and then I realized I was being wishy washy about a $12 part. ha.

But that why I specified several times that the seller is actually Amazon and not a 3rd party. Mine should be here on Wednesday. Honestly though, how many of these do you think they actually sell for our cars? I would never think to buy one of these from Amazon of all places.

INTEG- I found myself almost ordering 3 of them so I wouldn’t have to worry about washing them at the regular intervals and then realized that I am too lazy for words. My comments above were only to ward off people thinking the same thing. Not a waste of money, but a waste none the less.

I love the extra 2 horse power. haha. The only bad part of having any kind of K&N filter cone or flat, is you have clean it. Wait till it completely dries which might take an hour or two. How much was the cleaner? 12 bucks?

It will take you 3 min to slap on one of those Kragan/Napa/autozone ones. Ohh well to each his own.

:ohyeah:Im still rockin the stock intake so i also placed my order. Might as well. Nice to see people stumble across them kinda deals, keep em comin.

Don’t forget the K&N has a million mile warranty, and for $12 it isn’t much more than a normal filter. It isn’t needed, but not hard to clean either.

i dunno if it matters but, i bought a K&N drop in filter for my db1 from amazon about 2 years ago for $18.99 w/ $10 shipping. it came in the K&N box and everything.

Good find! Yeah Amazon’s great and if you’re a student, you get free two day shipping for a year as long as it’s sold by Amazon or a company with a fulfillment with Amazon. So mine will get here in two business days

just ordered mine

thats a great deal, I cant belive there are still 10 left!

I thought the same thing yesterday, but that doesn’t number actually reflect the actual stock; there are just 10 retailers of that filter, including Amazon.

Everyone else is selling them for the normal price of around $40. No idea how many are in stock at Amazon, but mine shipped out this morning.

Mine came in the other day. I don’t really know what to say about it; It’s exactly what you would expect. A K&N the right shape, pre-oiled in the bag in the normal box with a sticker and some paperwork. Exactly the same as the last one I got 8 years ago.

Doesn’t really matter now though since they went up to $41… Supply and demand, baby!

I wanted a K&N drop-in for a long time… I wasnt planning on getting an aftermarket intake… But I happened to stumble on a ShortRam w/filter for $20. Even if I need to buy a reputable intake filter down the road, this one works for now.

Good find none the less, Robin!
