I have a manual 1990 RS stock Integra. When I shift gears the RPMs do not drop as the clutch is pushed in, they actually go up and hold for about 5 seconds. Why is this and how to fix? I checked for vacuum leaks and checked my tps and it reads the way it should.
it might be because of the throttle dashpot which is suppose to slow the closing of the throttle when its working correctly. you might want to try disconnecting it from the air intake hose. it comes the flying saucer shaped thing mounted on the throttle body as refer to your underhood vacuum routing diagram. i removed mine and it is not needed the reason i removed it was that it would keep my rpms up and it would not release like it was suppose to.
Thanks Im going to try that.
Tried the idea but nothing changed.
When I unplug my tps everything runs great except for running rich. I check my tps and it seems to be functioning right.
Im lost on what the issue is…please Help!!!
