I now have some money, so I am ready to spend it on my car. I search and search thruogh all the companys info to find out what head set up would be the best. I was wondering if you guys could help me out and tell me what you think the best parts are that should go in my head.
I plan on driving it street use, and but want to use nitrous( only about 75 shot)
how many miles are on your engine before you go shoving nitrous into it??? and if its high mileage, maybe you should look into some bottom end upgrades if you want to use the nitrous. depending on how much you want to spend, how high you want to rev, how you want your car to idle…will all help everyone give you some input.
give us some more info
I do plan on building up my block too. First I am just going to work on the head. I want my rev limiter set to 9000, and I honestly dont no what to have my car idle best at.
9000 is a lot on an LS block, I would read a lot about this before revving to 9 grand.
block work is a lot harder to do with the engine in the car…i would get it out of the way first. and you are crazy to rev a stock block that high, and you can always upgrade the valvetrain later.
one more thing…you wont need to rev that high with a turbo, most peak before 8k rpms.
are there even non-VTEC cams that create power over 8k???
Im about as crazy as they come. My car is just an expiriment car. I want to see what will I happen if do certain things. I dont plan on adding a turbo to my car. I have so many ideas and dont know what to do. I cant decide to build up my ls or do ls/vtec, or just type R. Maybe you guys could help me out with this. I really think I am leaning toward the ls/vtec, but I dont a good shap that could tap the oil line in. I have heard that everything must be done perfectly, or you wasted your money!!!
tapping the oil line is no biggie…but building the block is…take some time and RESEARCH, and i mean research a lot.
