I will take some pics of the light output on the road and what not…
Well I took some pics from my cell phone tonight while driving on the freeway…so you guys can get the idea of the light output. Personally I love it the glare isnt that bad either, its much better than stock headlights
lol, mine look just like that too… loooking good. what temp are urs? they look whiter than mine.
I’m very pleased with my light output too. just drove down super dark hwy that i always go on and it’s a lot brighter than before and reflectors on the road reflect better.
hahahaha i also had a xentec 9007 hid kit lying around…and its also 6000k diamond white or whatever…
those ebay headlights i’ve had before in my civics and what not… they are hidious… and the output is aweful… i’ve ordered the jdm one pieces… and i’m thinking about doing the tsx projector retrofit with the D2S or D2R HID kit… that will be a little ways down the road though… after i get back to work and whatnot… (on strike at the moment)… Thanks for the input and the pics guys!.. i went to the track yesturday and ran a 15.99 @ 86MPH on my stock LS… with a GS body… full interior and a sub :-)… not to mention i weigh about 240 myself … haha… all in all i think i got a good run out of her for being stock…
H4H light
OK so if i get a hold of H4H bulbs for my 1 peice head lights will i still get light scatter?
any HID plug and play kit in regular headlight housings will give u scatter, whether it is 9004 like mine or H4H…
H4h
I meen raguler H4H bulbs non HID
nah man with regular bulbs ull be fine it will be like regular headlights
lights?
So what wouls you recommend H4H bulbs or HID ?
i hope for future reference… anyone who searches on doing this will not do this… trying to fit 9004s to replace the H4Hs.

the filament height of a 9004 is nowhere near that of an H4Hs, in fact it is alot higher and will cause a high beaming effect.
teggy1211, if you get an H4H HID kit… it depends because H4H is still dual filament… and they have various kits to deal with the high beam but none of them will ever be in the position that it should be. not only that but H4H with high/low function may also be hard to locate…
but they do have single xenon hid kits for H4H… you’ll just lose high beam function
I made 9007 fit and it looks just fine…havent gotten flashed from opposite traffic once…thas a very good sign and light output is still awesome
how did you wire up the wires to the fogs?
would like to see how u got the wire through for the fogs
its really not. how i did it was i disconnected the power wire for the fogs(i forget which color) then unplugged the cruise control right next to it(for its power wire, hot when the car is on but not when the car is off so the fogs turn off with the car).
then i turned the car on and probed my fog wire in the connector for the cruise control to find the power(this can be done with whichever plug is next to your fogs, assuming they have the same on off “cycle” as the car).
i then cut that wire an inch back, butt spliced into it and connected everything else back the way it was. im a bad interweb explainer but if your really interested i can get you some pics tomorrow
another ? where did you put your ballasts. I am doing a similar setup with Bixenon and wondering where the ballast can be mounted.
i know this is an old thread, hopefully this will help still…
I did mine with a 9006 HID BULB, i have read on one of the post that the H4H Bulb is identical with the 9006 bulb, except for the high beam. you just need to cut some of the plastic of to make it the same as the H4H housing plug. the cutoff pattern is almost identical with the H4H without any adjustment. and you could still use the same wire that holds the H4H bulb onto the housing with a 9006 bulb. regarding about the location of the ballast, i will take pictures when i get home. but the ballast location is pretty close to the bulb location. here is a DIY write up with an Acura Legeng One Piece Headlight, the same set up as ours:
http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/f13/diy-modifying-9006-base-fit-h4h-housing-94235/
its a pretty simple process, also, dont’ forget to buy the 9006 headlight plug. also, before you start cutting wires and changing it to HID’s, look for the HOT WIRE first where your HID wires are going to tap onto. it is better to have a test light or a electrical/meter for this DIY
if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me.
thank you, and hopefully this helps
or you could just get these???
yeah, i should have checked my bulbs before i started buying my HID. when i got my DA Teg, i didn’t know it had a different bulb size with a one piece headlight, i checked websites that the stock bulb is 9004, so when i went to the place i bought my HID Kit, which was 20 miles from my place, good thing i check the bulbs if its the same what i’m getting. then what do you know, it wasn’t the right one. they told me that the bulb for a one piece headlight is an H4H bulb which they do not carry. i do not want to drive back empty handed and i was really eager to get my hands on HID’s so i went to a local autozone, close to them, and compared the H4H bulb with the other USDM bulbs, and it was comparable with a 9006 (and just to remind you, i haven’t seen the one i have posted), so i told myself, i could most likely modify the HID bulb, which i did. it was perfect. but i learned my lesson (the hard way though), but at least now, i could just get the H4H Bulbs off of Ebay if in case i need a replacement… Thanks for the link TILEGEND…
Sooooooooo I found this

Never dealt with them before, but it’s a new item and it’s a little bit cheaper than PWJDM but not by a whole lot. PWJDM still has them with a 2 year warranty. Oh well. It’s a little more expensive than most HID kits, but IMO it’s the price you pay to be JDM haha.
