9004 to 9005 conversion

hey I’m new here…hi

anyways…I was looking around on the site for some info on the 9004 to 9005 bulb conversion. Couldn’t find any. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place? If somebody could hook me up with some info, that would be a plus.

thanks

chazz

I was just wondering what the purpose of this conversion would be?

better light output

9004 have horrible light output, as many would agree with me. I have no idea on how to convert to 9005 bulbs but have you considered getting one piece headlights? The H4H bulbs in the one pieces are alot brighter than 9004. HTH.

1 pieces…

yea, I’ve considered getting the 1 piece headlights…I might sometime if I have some extra cash laying around…or find a REALLY good deal on them. But I’m going total sleeper with my LS 4 door for now. I still have the hubcaps on it

anyways, anyone have info on the 9004 to 9005 bulb conversion? Or am I just crazy for asking? :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks,
chazz

aren’t the 9004 the high/low beam, and the 9005 only low beams?

putting 9005 would leave you with only low beams… which wouldn’t be really great for night driving(highway).

HTH!

9005 bulbs are used for high beams. at least in my accord they are.

chazz

well, that would leave you with only high beams… I knew they had only one intensity, just didn’t remembered if it was low or high… :shy:

if the light pattern isn’t blinding, it could be nice… but I think the low/high beam is still better…

if you’re going to convert - might as well go 9007 and do it right. you get high/low and the output is very nice - i have used them on a Jeep Liberty and was most impressed at the stock output

9007… would that be a hard job? would they be blinding? teach us nate!!

The H4H bulbs…what are they exactly? Does this mean that when I make the conversion to the 1 pieces my 9004’s will no longer work?

Mike

if you want to know how you can look into my other message i gave the instructions it is quite simple
