Im asking for help with my 91 DA. here’s the prob. When I go to start my car… I push the clutch like normal, turn the key all the way, and I hear clicking. My starter clicks. I’ve replaced the starter 3 times and I get the same problem on every starter. But the thing is it only does this maybe every 3 to 4 days for some 20 minutes bc I keep on trying to start it. I’ve taken it to about 4 different mechanics and even the acura dealership for help. the mechanics said to replace the distributor, battery and main relay. I’ve done so. still the same fkin problem. Acura told me that it was the starter so I replaced it a 4th time. but its still doing it once a few days. I go to hit the starter and it still wont budge. but I unplug the starter switch line and plug it back up and SOMETIMES it makes the car start, sometimes it wont start regardless. I’ve also replaced the starter switch behind the radio. The last thing left to do is replace the starter switch and I’m assuming thats the almighty problem solver. Can anyone please help me with this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance
I ended up rewiring my starter wire from the ignition switch all the way to the starter. It solved my start problem. I can only guess that the 20 year old starter wires have hardened and provide too much resistance to engage the starter solenoid.

ground? that’s the first thing i’d be thinking.
when the problem is occurring, key in start, check for power at the starter solenoid. if you consistently have power, problem is either the transmission to chassis ground, or the B+ power cable to starter
