'91 ls gas tank capacity

its not that huge of a problem, but the second generation integras are supposed to have a 13.2 gallon gas tank correct?
Then, out of curiousity, why can i never fill my tank beyond 9 gallons? Is the fuel gauge off possibly?

The fuel light always comes on when there’s about 10L (3gal) left in the tank. If you ran your car til it coughed and sputtered and finally died, you would be able to put 13gal in it.

Thanx-i just fill it up when the needle hits e, or is right next to e
so then hypothetically i could run around e for another 60 miles at least right?
and my gas light hasn’t come on yet-i’ve had the car for 2 month (1st car-yea!)

my fuel needle always starts falling fast after 260 miles. if that was true, i would get less then 20 mpg. if you want to try and get the most mileage out of your tank, use the mileage at half, because it is very accurate, and double that. trust me, i get bored on long trips and experiment with this. but don’t push too far…i know it isn’t fun!!! you should be getting anywhere from 25 to 30 mpg, depending on driving style. i get about 28 going to and from work. on long trips (utah to texas), i averaged almost 35, and that is with the automatic(no overdrive). beat that EPA!!!

Actually, the best way to figure out mileage is NOT to just double your mileage at the half-a-tank marker, but instead, at every fillup or every time you top-off your tank, record the exact amount of miles you drove since the last time you were at a ful tank, and divide that number by the amount of gallons you put in your tank at THIS fill.

Hence, MPG = Miles / Gallons.

fyi: I average about 27 MPG city, 31/32 HWY, but have had as high as 42 HWY on a few occasions (over 625 kilometers on a tank, gas light just came on!!)…
also FYI: Our cars are rated somewhere in the low 20’s for ileage (I think 21 city, 23/24 hwy, or something like that).

Curls are you using Imperial MPG or US MPG?? if that’s US MPG, that 42MPG is pretty impressive!
