Hey everybody, i just bought a 91 acura integra ls. it had a broken timing belt and the fuel pump was shot (@ least that all i’ve found so far) and it needs some body work, hey it cost me about 300 bucks so i figure what have i got to lose but time and money. so far i’ve replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and i have a new distrubtor cap and rotor, oil, etc…
i’m now working on replacing the timing belt ( if anyone has any ideas on removing the pulley without a holding tool please let me know) basically to make a long story short i want to make this car go really fast and I’m looking for any helpful tips on problem areas i should look for as well as modification tips, good parts, tech pointers. anything at all. i’ll be swimming through as many posts as i can but any help in the mean time any help is definitely appreciated.
You never stated what kind of budget you were on. Heres what I would do. Replace pistons with GSR to raise compression to 10:1. With head off replace valve springs and cams with performance units from Crower or some other good brand. Make sure you have a good clutch. Install header, CAI, and a Skunk2 intake. This should get you between 150 and 160 crank hp. You will have to use an impact to remove the crank pulley bolt. Dont forget a new water pump and idler pulley bearing.
hey fam1ny if you want i have a tool specically made for that taking off the main pulley… made it myself and well since im at school in chicago now i could have my rents send it out and i could mail it up to yah…or give yah the materials list to make one ur self
