The distributor bearing, a part in your car’s ignition system, does not meet Acura’s standards for durability. If it should fail, your car’s engine may be difficult to start, or may not start at all.

I thought this was a nice thing to know since i hear of so many distibutor problems on our cars.
I called my local acura dealer about 3-4 months ago and they checked my vin and said it had never been done before, but they said that the recall was no longer valid and if I wanted it replaced i would have to pay for it.
Some people have dealers that will replace them and some dealers suck.

Well thats a pretty big load of shiot. Id def keep callin around to diff dealers to find one thatll do it because its not that its no longer valid. Ive heard though that if you have over 100K they wont do it?
According to the Service bulletin regarding the Dist. Bearing. it was never an actual recall. All Acura did was extend the factory warranty on the distributor to 5yrs/100,000 miles. Unfortunately, our cars no longer fall under that warranty. I have however, heard of people getting them replaced in the past couple of years, so there may be a few dealers out there, still willing to warranty it. HTH.
Later.
