92/93 front bumper conversion. help.

sup G2IC
I recently got a 92-93 bumper cover for my 91 and was looking for some help on
mounting it, I checked the teg tip. It says you can reuse the 90-91 reinforcement, i tried that, it doesn’t fit into the 92-93 cover. Has anyone else done this swap that can help me with what i need to do for this to work? thanks ma peeps.

you have to cut the styrofoam off the 90-91 bumper cuz the bumper lights placement is different…

try reading the teg tip a little more closely.

take directly from the teg tip.

“When all 10 screws are removed lift out the reinforcement, and it will expose the Styrofoam. Take it out and put it on the side. With the knife cut away the excess material so it can fit the 92-93 Integra bumper. I cut my Styrofoam like for about an hour or so. (You can see that mines broke at the bottom edge, but it is no problem.) It is a trial and error method. Once you cut the Styrofoam, you must check if it fits properly in the new 92-93 bumper with the reinforcement over it in place. The reinforcement should line up with the holes on 92-93 bumper cover. Once they all line up, use the screws from the other bumper and put it together.
Note: If you have access to a 92-93 Styrofoam then no cutting will be required.”

it might help if you post in the CORRECT exterior forum, and not general discussion. moved to exterior.

ok read it again, makes sense, i forgot about the styrofoam. thanks spikeymike . any suggestions on what would be best to cut the styrofoam with? without fukkin it up?

one of those electric turkey cutters that you can buy at walmart for like $20.

i used my Miracle Blade bread knife. i guess it has some use.

:naughty: good shit, good shit!

There’s this contraption whose name escapes me at the moment that looks like a violin bow. Basically the wire stretched across the “bow” is a heated element that makes a clean cut through the foam.
