92 civic springs in teg

I’ve seen the idea of putting springs from 92 civic in teg to create drop of arouynd 1.5" who all has done this or has seen this. I know of at elast one person who has, or his brother anyways. any testimonials. Not looking for performance, just a little less tire gap.

hey I will send pics to you tommorow. The drop is nice, and a sweeet ride! I will give you info when i send pics.

post the pics on here, as im sure a lot of people would like to also know! no modifications are necessary, correct? is it possible to use the 92 civic shocks too?

rear civic shocks will swap with no problem. The front shock won’t unless you get the front forks from and EG or DC. All in all search for “hybrid suspension”. You’ll get most of your answers there.

okay well thanks for the tips on the shocks, but the factory shocks are staying. i was refering to the SPRINGS from a factorry 92 civic. Anyone esle know if they fiit alright? I’m half tempted to just put them on anyways to find out. I need to go to autozone and rent the spring compressors.

The O.D. is slightly larger on the fronts. You should be able to get them to fit by using 92+ civic top hats, or 94+ integra ones. Or you could just try trimming the stock rubber pieces that goes into the hats. That should work.

I too am considering this and would like to see the pics…

Is this safe, in regards to the wight of the cars being different?

I find it funny that someone would use stock Civic springs (that are designed for a lighter vehicle = lower spring rates) onto their Tegs.

Only person that might appreciate it is grandma.

If using aftermarket components, rock on.

Id still like to see what it looks like.

I got cheap coilovers that were on the car when I bought it.
I use my g2 teg as my daily driver. I think if they kill some of the
wheels gap, looks even, and drive ok.Then I might consider doining it. 92-95 springs are a dime a dozen…

To me it doesn’t have to handle all that well. Like I said I just
drive it to work…

if you look in the original post, this thread had nothing to do with performance. it’s just a way getting a lower ride height.

:read:

Then cut the stock springs.

I think cutting would yeild a terrible ride.

still looking for pics…
