92 GS-R Restoration thread

So as some of you may know, I recently bought a '92 Integra GS-R with 208k miles on it. I bought it not running, but in good shape. I put an ECU in the car and got her running and have been daily driving her for a couple weeks now. My car is original engine, but with an LS transmission in it with a fresh clutch.

Well, my little brother has been looking for an older Honda too as he needed a car, and what did we happen to find but a SECOND '92 GS-R. This one is original motor, original trans with 170k miles on it. We snagged it for $800, but it had been completely gutted and the sunroof had been removed and sheet metal welded over it.

The previous owner had EVERY SINGLE PART that he took off the car with the exception of the heat and a/c components, so we ended up with a car stripped and ready for a ground up restoration.

The car is currently sitting on Skunk2 Coilovers, which will be going on my car, because my brother doesn’t want a car that low, and it came with a full Energy Suspension bushing kit, which also will probably go on my car as well. Figure if his car is faster, mine should corner better hehehe

Anyway, I’m going to document this entire restoration adventure and thought I’d post it up here and let you guys take a look at it. I’ll probably need some help with some things, and I may need some random parts as well. Hopefully we will have the car off to the body shop this week to get the sunroof fixed and get paint sprayed on it, and then we will go from there doing everything else ourselves.

I’m just excited that of approximately 3800 DB2 GSR’s made, we have 2 in our driveway that both run and drive

Lucky… wish I had the funds and time to this with some DB2’s

can’t wait to see em man

So I took my brother for a ride in the second gsr today and it scared the crap out of him. He can barely drive a stick and its just too much car for him. Its currently up for sale or trade if anyone is interested.

Asking $1000 obo and car is located near Cincinnati Ohio
