92 GS w/JDM B18C(TypeR) @ TorontoMotorsportsPark @ Cayuga, ONT, May 1/10, road course

My best friend and I at the Toronto Motorsports Park road course here in Cayuga, Ontario, Canada. With Touge.ca on May 1/2010. It is my first time on a road course so be nice. Plus I was battling VTEC problems and an extremely annoying rattling shifter lol, and we had not set the camber to where we wanted yet, going to this event was a last minute thing so we weren’t fully prepared but it was still loads of fun.

YouTube videos:

Attached pictures are a picture of the map of the course, and our G-force measurements using a mounted iPhone 3GS and Dynolicious.
1.04 lateral G’s
0.91 braking G’s
0.64 acceleration G’s

Looks fun

Looks like a lot of fun, good job for your first time out :).

A couple suggestions (meant entirely constructively):

  • Your head is worth buying a helmet for, especially if you plan on doing more track time.

  • Find a driver who knows the track and is fast. Ideally, if there are competitive racing events at that track, find a driver that races in a similar car to yours (FWD, lightweight, relatively low power) and tends to be near the front of the pack. Get them to ride with you and give you some pointers about the best line for the track. If you’re comfortable with it, let them drive and learn from how they do it. This will improve your lap times more than almost any mod you can do to your car.
