92 gsr begins bogging once i give it past a certain amount of gas/throttle/load

does anyone know the difference in symptoms of a bad fuel filter versus a bad fuel pump? if you do, please post. thanks

when i’m driving, and i give the car more than a certain amount of gas, it begins "bogging"or “shuddering.” if you’ve ever run into vtec while your engine is cold, it is similar to the bogging you get. it’s a little bit more shuddering though. it can happen at any rpm level. if i give it a gentle amount of gas, it runs all the way up to 8000 without bogging. if i give it more than a certain amount, it begins bogging (and gives less power). it seems like it is doing it when it is under a certain amount of load. however, when i gun it in neutral, i dont get any sort of bogging or hesitance.

if i go to 5th gear at a low rpm, it gives a horribly violent shuddering at any amount of gas.

i’m not sure, but it seemed to stop doing it a few minutes ago while i was ****ing around with it trying to figure out what’s wrong with it in the parking garage. could whether the engine is warmed up or not have anything to do with it?

any help is appreciated

i dont know if this is related at all, but the clutch has been feeling funny lately.

if you need more clarification please tell me.

someone has to know something about this, right? it seems to be when the engine is under a certain amount of load that it decides to start bogging down.

hey are you the one that sold me the one peices? I’ve heard of the cat-converter giving bad performance but I doubt that is the problem. You could hit it a few times with a stick or something thens ee if it still does it, heh.

Free bump^

the car seems to be high on oil, could this have any effect? i’m replacing the oil tomorrow. are you raybrig? augusta, ga? i’ll check the cat out, thanks

yeah raybrig, bump^

one of the cylinders wasn’t firing. it was due to water grounding the spark plug. thanks
