I recently changed my clutch put everything back together with brand new parts. Now i go to adjust the clutch when i tighten it where its suppose to be it does not want to go into gear. I have to back it all the way back off then it goes in gear, but the pedal feels mushy and u could hear the clutch kinda slipping. Can anyone help me out or went through such a problem.
Thanks for ur help in advance.

How does it go through gears with the motor off?
Could be cable-stretch due to an old clutch cable with the added tension of a new pressure-plate… or even the return spring if it was installed improperly on the throwout bearing.
The arms on the return spring should hold the arms of the fork against the bearing… the arms of the return spring aren’t supposed to be between the fork & bearing.
If you didn’t open the tranny case and the trans was working fine before, then there shouldn’t be an internal problem. As I said, its either the cable or the bearing/spring setup imo.
But as the previous poster asked, how does the trans shift with the motor turned off?
