Hey guys not sure if this is the right part of the forum but I have a question. Is there a clutch interlock/safety switch on my 92 ls? Because the second day I had it I accidently tried to start it up without the clutch and it started. I usually push the clutch in to start it anyway because I prefer to. But anyhow, If there is a switch then I think the guy I bought it off of bypassed it.
I haven’t looked too closely yet but I wanted to to make a kill switch that was connected to my clutch or if its too much of a hassle to install another switch, I might just try the fuel killswitch.
Btw, if there is a switch and I don’t have it, how would I go about getting another one on the clutch? Thanks in advance guys
Yes, you have one…
It is on the clutch pedal, and quite uncomfortable to gain access to. Sliding the seat all the way back, then laying on the floor, looking up, follow the clutch pedal until you see the switch.
If it has been previously tampered with, I imaine the work will be easy to spot.
If there is no modification, the switch itself is likely bad… Replace it…
Yes, you can use it for a kill switch by tapping into the ground wire, and running a section of speaker wire (or two separate wires, whatever) to your switch. The wire colors are Blk/Blu (to Starter) and Black (to Ground).

Thanks. So if the switch is bad its possible to start the car without the clutch being depressed?
