I have just swaped in the b20 with ac and pwr steering and the question is my car wont start ive done many swaps and this is the only one i had problems with it goes to aux then ryt when u wanna start it all you hear is CLICK and all pwr is lost but ive taken out the starter and tired starting it and it wrks fine and its brand new from kragen auto parts. i dont know what it is Ive changed the battery and main relay under the dash…what can my problem be??? im using the ls cable tranny it says YS1 on the barcode with a ls starter do i need a b20 starter??? i hope not…any advice???

When you say “when u wanna start it all you hear is CLICK and all pwr is lost” what does that mean, do you actually lose all power, do you lose your cluster/gauges, does the dome light go out, [if door is open] and you try and start the car?:stare:94
when i turn the key all i hear is a click…
check all the grounds, I had a similiar problem and it turned out to be the ground under the battery tray!
I would have power to and when I tried to crank it everything would go out
immma try that … how many drounds are there and where are they located at i just connect everything where it went when i took off the mtr

When you try and start the engine, and “all power is lost” does that mean that you actually lose all power, open the door so the dome light is on, try and start the engine, does the light dim or go right out?:stare: 94
when its in aux everything is fine sounds good lights on the cluster is fine , when i wanna start it all the lights in the cluster is off and you hear a click … i leave it in neutral and press in the clutch …nuthing happens but the lights turn off and i hear a click… i have a b20 b longblock with a ys1 ls cable tranny with the ls starter brand new …new resurfaced flyweel from lsdmotorsports and clutch is new so is the pressure plate…hope this help my situation with everyonei really wanna get this thing started …i was thinking for a while then thought it might be the starter hitting the fly wheel ???..i turn the crank with a breaker bar to see if the teath line up…the kinda do but you hear the starter hitting the fly wheel and if i turn it more i hear like if nuthing has happend …its been sitting for 2 weeks and everything is in hope i get this thing started…
