My problem is that the little pin that secures the clutch cable to the pedal keeps breaking, as the pedal itself is sawing through it.
This is the second time this year that I’ve had to replace the cable, even though with the first one, we tried using various nuts & bolts, which were being destroyed also. Nothing would last more than a day or so.
What I want to know is if there is a way to prevent this, and if there may be a part or something I am missing here.
As far as I can tell, there is simply the end of the cable, and the “hook” on the pedal that it connects to.
There doesn’t appear to be any damage to the pedal…
EDIT: The pedal seemed to stiffen slightly about a week or two after the first “new” cable was put on. Not sure if that helps any.
…Everyone who drives the car seems to think there’s some sort of racing clutch installed…but its just an OEM replacement setup…

Negative to the sharp edges. Also, I’ve adjusted the cable numerous times, but only because it felt as if the tension was not enough to smoothly shift gears. I did notice that in the couple hours I was driving prior to it breaking the car is having trouble shifting again. Every gear would have just a tad bit of grinding, but especially 1st gear.
Did you have the cable on to tight ? sometimes if the cable doesn’t have any give then it can stretch real quickly and end up snaping way before it should. Are you sure they gave you the correct clutch cable ? find out how long it is from the factory and measure it, I’m sure that wont hurt but it will tell you if it’s the correct size or if it’s to small or another size. Make sure that you have some freeplay in your pedal, you don’t want to wear out your clutch and put loads of presure in the clutch cable and presure plate to disk bc you had no freeplay. Double check everything and make sure that you have the accurate clearencess and correct YEAR integra parts, clutch cable, ect…
