So… The headlight harnesses in my brother’s (user Hostility) DA9 were cut, chopped, screwed and rewired with huge Alpine speaker wire. Also, one of the foglights was wired directly to the other. Now, the passenger side headlight and fog do not work…
I would like to COMPLETELY replace the full engine harness, as well as the headlight/accessory harness, but I need help with where to start. I THINK I have traced where the driver side headlight harness connects to (near the brake booster), but I can’t really see where the passenger side harness is, which gives me the feeling it may not be a detachable harness.
ALSO: The ABS harness has been messed with, I can’t figure out the proper way to hook it back up. There’s a bunch of pink connectors, but I’m not sure how to reconnect it, or if all of the components are there.
THEN: The radiator fan has been somehow rewired (via Alpine) to a toggle switch in place of the cruise control switch beside the sunroof switch, BUT it is actually wired into the cruise control switch harness. Uh…It’s literally freezing outside, fan probably should’nt be always running.
ADDITIONALLY: The power steering has been “removed” and it’s hoses and a module have been all chopped up, and it’s basically dangling under the alternator (But I think it may actually be part of the ABS).
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to fix my brother’s car. I am currently using it to get back and forth to work, and I don’t want my brother to have his pride and joy deterioration.
I’ve tried searching for the harnesses in question, but all I can seem to find are the normal engine harnesses and the “conversion” harnesses for the “jdm 1-piece” headlights.
