I’ll print it out Colin and i’ll let him read it.
Peace:squint:
This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on any honda msg board. And the links were even better.
Psychowhatever: You really need to shutup and learn the dynamics of…everything!!!
Here’s some things to look up:
- Power bands
- Gear ratios
- Reliability
- How to properly build any hybrid engine (YOU DON’T SLAP A VTEC HEAD ON A B18A AND THEN EXPECT IT TO BE “LIKE WHOA”)
- Variable valve timing and its presence in all high performance engines from many top manufacturers: Porsche (variocam), BMW (VANOS), Mercedes, Toyota (VVTi), Nissan (VVL), VW, Lamborghini, Ferrari…
All that needs to be said is:
person with no knowledge = quiet, willing to learn
person with much knowledge = quiet, will share when asked
person with little knowledge = loudmouth, ignoramous babblemouths
ME WUVS VTEC!
Excuse me but this is ridiculous, maybe I was confused at first I know things much better now since this post. I’m sorry if maybe I didn’t get it right the first time. As soon as this post was started the flames just rised and rised. I got my **** straight now, thanks a bunch for all the help and tolerance. And I’m supposed to be the ignorant asshole

thanks for showing a bit of maturity now. I just recommend next time that you show it earlier. Be willing to accept what others say…sometimes they’re right. all that really matters is that you learned from the post…thats what this board is all about.

It is nice to see you admitting to it but my only problem is not you not “knowing your &(” but your inflection and sound of absolute conviction to your beliefs. Its fine to discuss, just don’t throw words around to the people who actually know what they’re talking about.

also consider how much more the gsr costs to purchase. but dont mind me im just bitter cuz i couldnt find one back then
i got my stock 1992 gsr with 111,000 mi for $3500:D one family owned, two women drivers, all maintance records
vtec is great but it is not the best in the world of racing. it is just good with gas and if you want fun then go on past to 5200. it is like a turbo but without the turbo. as you all know. but say you have a 92- present gsr and an ls modded. say it makes the equavilent hp.and the ls is mated to a b16 tranny. it seems to me that the one without vtec will win because the ls doesnt have to wait for for vtec. i would like to know cause im trying to build around this theory.and im talking racing from a dead stop. not running

yea… too bad the redline on b18a is 6.5 not 7.2 and the redline on b17a is 8k not 8.2k
yeah i know it is 6.5 but modded with new cams retainers springs and new valves i think you can go higher but that was like i said modded. i know vtec is 8.2 rpms my bro. has one in his crxmodded
vtec is 5400-5500 depending on the car. the 8200 you’re referring to is redline on a gen3 gs-r or a newer civic si, not a b17
It is funny how people often fail to comprehend the fundamental nature of how gearing works. The GSR will always have more torque at the wheels than any rs/ls/gs. That is all that matters.
