Hi, I’m sure this has been covered but I couldn’t find anything in a search.
Just wondering how difficult it is to put seats from a 94+ Integra into a DA (3 door). I remember reading somewhere they would NOT bolt right in, does anyone know what I would have to do to get it to fit?
I am looking to just do the front seats, but possibly back too if its not too labour intensive.
Hey I just want to give a heads-up to anyone who is thinking of doing this swap. Make sure your stock DA seat slider rails are the same as the ones in the writeup! I bought some leather seats from an '00 gsr, started following the instructions in the link, and when I got to the last step I realized the slider on my car is different and would not bolt in. I had to abandon the whole thing, unfortunately I didn’t realize this until AFTER I had already done a whole bunch of chopping/grinding.
I might be able to get the seats to fit using a different method, but I’m pretty screwed. Please take apart your seats and make sure your rail is identical to the ones in the write-up, its really hard to tell from the limited photos, but they need to be the same.
Who would have thought Acura would produce 90-93 Integra’s with different seat sliders?

no your suppose to mod your da rails onto the dc seats, all dc 94-01 are the same setup, all u got to do is drill out the brackets on the da rails for the rails only and then mod it onto the dc seat frame, i know the write-up is to detailed but you’ll learn on the way by what it means… it took me awhile to understand it…
Yea the DC seats I bought are the same as the write-up.
But MY seats from my integra (1990) are different than the seats from the write-up.
This picture (from the write-up) is the posters DA rail. The hole on the left (thats been grinded) is the same as mine. Bolts from bottom. However see the bracket on the far right of the pic that goes vertical? And the bolt goes in sideways? Mine doesn’t have that. Mine just bolts on from the bottom, not the side. http://battlecat.8m.com/preppedDArail_2.gif
I’ll take some pics or something when I get home, but the bottom line is I followed the instructions perfectly, and my rails are missing some parts that his have.
edit the pic doesnt work but go down to step 2, theres 2 pics of his DA rail. Thats what I’m talking about
Fuck this is a nightmare, spent another 4 hrs last night working on this and I just cannot get all 4 bolts to line up Can get 3, but not 4.
Anybody wanna buy some leather DC seats for cheap?

Not looking into trying this but with the last bolt, can’t you just take the rail to a shop and have them weld it?
Yea might have to. If i only had a welder+metal cutting tools, I’d be done. The thing is the costs are gonna start adding up and the whole point of this was its a cheap upgrade. (bought the seats for only 250).
Anyways I’m going to try some more tomorow night, I got the rails on and all, fairly secure, but they just don’t line up because the DC seat is a tiny big wider it seems.
I don’t want to chop too much stuff because seats are a fairly big safety item, if I crash I don’t wanna fly through the window.
If I can’t get this to work I’m heading to the junkyard this weekend to see if I can find any DA’s with the same rails as the writeup. That would make things ALOT easier. I’m still not sure why my rails are different, could be 90 vs 91, 2, or 3, or cdm vs usdm, or just random.
I’ll keep you guys updated, and I’ll get some pics too. Thanks for the help so far.
Well after another couple hours of working at it tonight I finally got the drivers side in.
I didn’t really use anything from that write up at all, tried to do it but with my seats being different it was just impossible.
So I took the DA passengers left side rail, and it bolted up perfectly to the DC drivers right side rail. pic 1
Then I took the DA passengers right side rail, and tried to bolt it to the DC drivers left side. This was a bit harder. I had to cut a bracket off the DC rails to bolt to the front of the seat (on the right in pic 2). Then to hold the seat-back in place I had to make some steel brackets (on the left in pic 2). This involved some hacksawing and drilling. Finally I bolted it together and managed to get it into my car and fastened down nicely.
Pic 3 shows it in my car, yay!
I still have to do the passenger one, I’m gonna basically do the same thing, take the DA drivers rails and put them on the opposite side of the DC passenger seat. Hopefully it works.
One thing about the swap is it riders an inch or two higher, not sure if I’m very happy about that because my head is now about 1/4" from the roof. Also the seat doesn’t seem to hug me as much?
Scott, did it end up working on the other seat as well? I was going to try this, but it seemed no matter what way I tried my DA rail would not bolt up in any way to the DC seat! I have a 93, btw. I spent a few hours trying everything with the rails, got frustrated and trying to find an answer on here but not seeing much. :dozing:
