So I recently did a swap with a 96 gsr into my 93 DA…for some reason after the swap the motor would start and then start choking and eventually dies…I tried a new §§§§§, checked the grounds, changed the fuel pump and injectors, and even as far as replacing my fuel relay…some people even said that my map sensor wire could be messed up…getting frustrated…if anyone can help a fellow DA enthusiast I appreciate it.
It does sound like a big vacuum leak. Check the breather box. After that do a series of trial in error by switching the plugs of the map and tps. Like try it with one of each unplugged, then try switching. Maybe the wires got mixed when you extended the map sensor plug. Hope that helps.
Try messing with the throttle cable and cleaning out the iacv. My buddy had the same problem this weekend, we checked the timing and swapped ecu’s and everything we could think of!! My other buddy came over and changed the throttle cable bracket around and cleaned the ivac and now it runs like a champ!
