There are 3 fuses for the CC…
1 - Fuse 24 - 15A, [hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box.
2 - Fuse 37 - 20A, [hot at all times] in under hood fuse box.
3 - Fuse 23 - 10A, [hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box.
Fuse 24 is “Cruise Control Unit” main power and CCU switched power, through “Cruise Control Main Switch” and “Brake Switch”.
Fuse 37 is CCU shut down, through “Brake Switch”.
Fuse 23 is for the “Cruise Control Indicator” in gauge assembly.
For testing you are going to need a multimeter.
The most common problem with CC if on/off switch works is the steering wheel set/resume switches, or the “slip rings”
Again you will need a multimeter to test.
The AC system does not have common fuses with the CC, there are more then a few things that will keep the AC from working, most common is a low charge, [refrigerant] next is defective pressure switch, next is the "A/C Compressor Clutch Relay or fuses, there are 4 of them…
1 - Fuse 17 - 7.5A, [hot in run]
2 - Fuse 21 - 15A, [hot in run]
3 - Fuse 12 - 15A, [hot at all times]
4 - Fuse 20 - 15A, [hot at all times]
All the above are in under dash fuse box.
Again you need a meter to test, although a simple test for the pressure switch is to unplug it and “jump” the 2 leads in the plug, if compressor and fans come on and you have A/C the switch is defective, if compressor and fans come on but you have no A/C the switch is probably good but you have a low charge, if compressor and fans do not come on, the relay is probably defective, but again a meter is needed to test.
If you do not have a multimeter go to Radio Shack and get one, $20 will get one that does the job, and will pay for itself in no time.;)94
