A1 Cable Tranny Gear Ratios?

I got a 90 GS with a 5 speed “A1” tranny. Any idea what the gear ratio is in this thing? I’ve never heard of a A1 tranny and cannot find any info on it.

I think its the same as the s1, i don’t know why they put that one in the loop, my manual doesn’t mention it.

thanks man for the ratios … never heard of the A1…does anyone else have this tranny?

I’m about to install a A1 in place of my YS1, it came off a 91’ LS.
Anyone have ACT’s website? I can’t find the address anywhere:bang:

hey island are u doing that just as a replacement, or is it better ?? i have a ys1 in my 93 integra, wondering if any different?

The 3rd gear scynhro is bad in my YS1, the A1 is just a replacement. As far as I can tell (after much reading) the A1, Y1 and S1 are the same tranny. They have almost the same gear ratio’s as the YS1 as stated above by Daver, but they seem to be more desirerable because the internal’s can be swapped with any other post 1992 tranny. So you can create any gearing setup you need with a factory LSD option, if you can find one.
