today on my way to work i was braking and then i could feel the brake pedal push up on my foot. about a minute later my abs light came on and stayed on all the way to work. i checked the abs fluid level and it was overflowing (before it was a tick above min.). so after work i emptied out the fluid until it was above the min. mark. went out driving. no luck. checked the abs trouble codes came up with 3 blinks (the pulsers). then i removed the abs b2 fuse and put it back. went out driving. no luck. checked the abs lights again. came up with 1 blink. and i called it a night (got too dark).
what the hell went wrong?
anyway, tomorrow i’m gonna try and disconnect the battery and the abs fuse and see if that gets rid of the problem (prolly won’t). and if it don’t work then i’m gonna just remove the fuses for the abs entirely.
does that sound like a good idea? i won’t hurt/lose much by driving around without my abs, right? just during the panic stops i might be screwed, correct?
i just got my teg about 2-3 weeks ago (my 89 lude got into an accident ) and this site has helped me a lot already. i fixed my hatch rattle, removed the bottom of my intake box and the resonator, and not to mention learned lots of general knowledge of g2s. too bad i’m running into problems already. but i’m sure with help from you guys it’ll be quite an experience owning this g2 of mine. so just wanted to say… thanks!
