Acura Integra Gs-r 1992 from Canada(it is mint)

After almost 16 years , i am selling my GS-R 1992 aztec green, there was no more then 600 sold in Canada, really rare car it is a first generation of the GS-R in North America,Stock B17A engine (only 113418 km) and stock ys1 tranny.Never winter driven and it is for sale at 9200$ negotiable, serious buyer wanted ,no low ballers please. This car is extra clean and not long ago it was evaluated at 10000$ cdn,i really went all out on this car,my email is gerardguilbault18@hotmail.com.

Engine/tranny=stock engine B17a + stock ys1 tranny with short throw shifter.(stock as possible for better re sale value)

Body= redone to new,in a Honda dealership(my friend is the bodyshop mannager) took off everything except the engine and the back glass, everything came off, also re did all 4 inner fenders(the car as never been accidented) took out all suspension/direction parts to do the best job possible.there is no crack paint,no bumps and no scratch, the paint is in great shape(better pics to come .I also have if ever interested pictures of step by step what was done on the body.I have real 1 piece JDM headligths with working green fogligths and JDM bumper flashers + front carbon duct spoiler from JDP in California…

Interior=was strip and did a complete shampoo, there no dammage or cracks or anything rip.The dash still looks new!! still have of course the oem carpets(no stains on them).Just added a Momo steering and the matching shifter, all accessories do work ,except the a/c system but i will look in to it ,i work in a Acura dealership in Montreal.i also giving away the r134 conversion kit with the car.

Suspension/direction=yellow Koni shocks + Neuspeed springs,in 2010 we took out as much as possible parts for the suspension/direction to either replace a part(with mostly oem parts) and to sandblast ,prime and 2 coat paint .At the same we install a full kit of polyurethane bushings it was a very long process,I have a pro series skunk2 camber kit and the rear (lower arm) bar from skunk2 .just with these parts and tuning and good alignment the road handling is crazy!! Pictures to come with the wheels off, it looks very clean…

Exhaust & air system=AEM air cold intake+ DC sport header+ magnaflow catalytic converter+ 2.25 hand made catback by turbo shop in Montreal,it is powder coat, magnaflow muffler. The sound is very nice , never got pull over because of my exhaust.

Mags/Tires=RP05 Enkei 17" ,no scatches or sidewalk dammage, they look new.+1 season Falken tires (RT615K) ,once they warm up they are very good …

Brakes=Brembo rotors front and rear (slotted rotors) + hawk pads front and rear ,brakes were service this spring. The calipers were all overhaul and nicely painted.i painted them when everything was off them(ex the piston and o rings).

Radio=Pioneer speakers rev edition X 4,+new Pioneer radio AVH-P2400BT (Built in bluetooth) + the Pioneer avic u220 gps unit ,very nice simple system, could also play movies…

The bottom line is that mechanically speaking ,there is nothing to be done ,always service by Honda or Acura tech that i worked with. All oils are done ,inspection, alignment and brake service done ,t-belt and etc ,did attempt to keep the car as clean as possible, whiling to travel alittle bit to meet a buyer, will get better pics,i have all bills of everything i purchase for the car, please pm to my email for more infos. The price is high but trust me i went all out on this car,i put at least 25000$- 30000$ to redo the car as perfect as possible.

Damn, I want the Enkei RP05’s ! Cant find them anywhere

very nice mags , i got lucky , i purchase used in 2002 and they always fit the look of the car + the falken tires rk-615k tires ,good combination…

Back in like 01, Buddy of mine had a white 92 GSR with those wheels in race white. Still trying to find a set for my white db2

Hey man,

I would love this car. And I live in VT so you are like 5-6hrs away from me. I’m looking to restore a 92-93 GS-R to factory condition, but your car is already done and I’m looking to speed no more than 4,000$ US.
Sucks man since this is perfect.

You live less then 4 hours from me , you better buy mine because by the time you are finish fixing a 92-93 GS-r it will cost you double of the price of what i am asking …

I think this thing is a beaut, but 9200 bucks is alot for a 1992 integra. But glws bump for a gorgeous car

it is true , but there is a price to pay when a car is that perfect , just the body job was 4000$ at my price ,the car is flawless,no offense to anybody on this site or anywhere ,but i never saw a other gs-r like mine ,it dosent compare to any car i saw here … i went all out on this car…

Having an aftermarket paint job is usually a downside, not an upside. If it was original paint then I still don’t think you could get $9k for it and definitely not with aftermarket paint unless all glass was removed, all moldings and window trim were replaced with brand new OEM pieces…etc AND you find the right buyer willing to pay a premium for those things.

If you’re trying to get $9k I’d post a lot more photos, and REALLY high quality ones. From the pics we can’t see the quality at all, it could be scratched and faded without being able to tell from the pics (not saying it is, just that if you’re trying to market this thing you need better photos). With a rare-ish car like this where you’re trying to get top dollar you’re going to need to make sure you are marketing coast to coast to as wide an audience as possible and to do that you’ll need better photos, more explanation of the modifications/maintenance…etc…etc There aren’t many people willing to pay top dollar for a really really nice example of a DB2, but they do exist - although likely not very close to you. Most people won’t travel to buy a car unless they’re certain they’ll buy it, and in order to be certain they’re going to want more/better photos and more info.

You also might want to try ebay, that’s generally a better way to determine what “market value” is for the car. But FYI, the last “mint” DB2 that went up for sale was also a Canadian model (which I feel adds to the value) and I believe sold for ~$4000. (I put “mint” in quotes because your car is not mint, in fact JFarbers car is probably the closest thing to an actual “mint” DB2 that exists today that I know of and I doubt his is actually mint either. Mint means perfect. Period. NO flaws, not even small ones. That means no stained spare tire well like yours has, also means no holes drilled in the firewall like yours has, A/C is not working, and there’s one pic that appears to show some chipped paint - however without a better pic we can’t be sure, it may very well just be a reflection of something on the ground. http://www.ebay.com/gds/What-the-word-MINT-means-for-sellers-/10000000001354494/g.html) I think the point in time will eventually come when you can get $7000-$10000 for a DB2 but I think it’ll be another 5-10yrs before that happens. We are now seeing CRX’s sell for $10k but that’s it, even the a Civic hatch from that era doesn’t fetch the same amount as the CRX.

I really don’t mean to be a jerk, in fact I’d love it if a quality DB2 like this was worth that much. I’ve been watching this thread since it was originally posted and almost tried to warn you about your price originally but decided not to intrude. But the reality of it is that most likely your price is unrealistic. The ad has been up for nearly 3 weeks and there’s been no interest on this forum - that’s a pretty big sign that the price is above market value. If it were me I’d post it on a bunch more forums with great photos and probably try ebay as well to ensure you market to the crowd of people that don’t browse the forums like we do. Best of luck.

. glws

Man if only you were in the states, I wish my canadian DB2 was an AGP.

Sorry , i dont understand what is AGP?? you also have a Canadian Integra?? trust me buddy i also wish i was in the states, this weather we have up here is terrible!!! a very bad spring we are having this year …

AGP = Aztec Green Pearl (aka your paint color)

To others who are viewing this thread… Gerard contacted me last night and it sounds like there is a LOT more to this car than his ad would leave you to believe. I obviously can’t vouch for him as I’ve never done business with him, but, I’d suggest not overlooking his car. It very well might be one of the nicer DB2’s out there so if you’re in the market for something like that I’d try to get some high quality pics, copies of receipts…etc If it’s what he says it is, then the ad he has up now doesn’t even begin to do the car justice.

Thank you very much Colin, i would never guess what is AGP !!! lol … i will do a better description, but i always forget to auto save my description and i have re log and loose all my description, i guess computers and me don’t do a nice couple!!!

Sounds funny that you say that ,because i really love the color , but some peaople really don’t like the color,i also had a civic 91 that color …(my first car) in 1995.

Glws! As a fellow AGP 92 gsr owner I also hope you get what you are asking

thank you very much …
Glws! As a fellow AGP 92 gsr owner I also hope you get what you are asking
The 88-91 Civic green color is actually different. It’s Tahitian Green Pearl opposed to Aztec Green Pearl. Similar, but definitely a different color.

Well, Colin. Your on point man  as usual and very informative. All in a good way . I bought my db2 for $5,000 last year with 98K miles on her. It still no comparison to Jfarber’s gsr . 9,000 is high, but I guess we will see what happens

Agreed with Colin , needs some amazing pictures x2

I have the same exact car color and all. I bought mine 3 years ago with 93km for $3500 all original. 9k??? sorry but there is no way you’re going to find a buyer at that price. The value just isn’t there. I know how rare it is and all that but the fact of the matter is…the pool of buyers who will actually pay a premium for a 2gen GSR is very, very, small. I agree with what was already mentioned. The car isn’t mint based on the pics you have provided so far and it’s not all original. I don’t see how 25-30K was spent on this car!! Oh and BTW here’s what you competing against. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/4474102494.html

This seller is asking a lot less than you and still can’t sale the car after a year on the market. I’m not trying to be rude but if you really want to sale the car you need to re-evaluate your price!
