So every couple of weeks I whip out the flathead screwdriver to push the fabric inserts back in the door panel but its getting worse. Thinking of ripping the whole thing off and remove the adhesive residue. I saw a Da on here a while back and it looked like he just removed the fabric so the door panel is black on black. Any good adhesive removers and pics of folks who did it? Thanks in advance
acetone, but be careful. too much will melt it hehe. dab some on an old rag little bits at a time, and be sure to be in an enclosed enviroment. jk
goo gone?
The maintenance guy at my work actually gave me a small aerosol spray can of 3m adhesive remover. Imma try this out and and show pics when done. Thanks for the replies.
x2.
goo gone, hand goop (that hand degreaser, works decent & doesnt harm) Auto Sol (works AMAZING, some shit we use at the detail shop for adhesive removal, doesnt harm a thing!)
pics??? very interested in seeing how it looks
I tried googone on my panels, but err… for some reason it didn’t do shit. When I removed my fabric there was a lot of greenish ‘fuzz’ that was left on the door and nothing I used could remove it from the vinyl without significant amounts of… let’s just say elbow grease. I think mine were glued to the panels with some kind of epoxy by a third party that attempted to ‘restore’ the interior though, it seemed a little ridiculous and I actually ended up having to carefully sand it and wow was that a pain in the ass
they make a more powerfull goo gone its called like xtreme or something,i think i got it at kmart…
WD-40 is fantastic for removing goopy, sticky crap. or lighter fluid, it works wonders too.
