Well my drivers side door hasn’t been shutting all the way lately. I determined the latch on the doorjam is out of place and needs to be returned to the correct place for the door to shut properly. I attempted to adjust the position of the latch and found the two screws that hold it in are siezed. I tried to loosen them with an impact screwdriver and had no luck so I sprayed them with PB for a few days and tried the impact screwdriver again. I still can’t get either screw to budge. I don’t want to pound on the impact too hard, and dent the doorjam so I’m stuck. Anyone have any similar problematic experiences or advice? Thanks in advance.
Ya i wanted to move mine and they wouldnt budge. I got the bit of the impact screw driver and put it in to the 3/8 ratchet and got it to break lose. Was not hard at all.
yeah, i’d try with ratchet. just be sure to use the correct bit. should be a posidrive phillips
I’ll give it a shot in the morning. Thanks for the tip.
I had this problem on my DB2, so I took it to my brother’s bodyshop.
He opened the door and hooked a big lever tool to the latch, pryed the door up a few times and the door works great now.
