adjusting timing belt

Thanks to BR for helpin me out with this, trying to keep himself awake…
this is to adjust the timing belt in-case your belt jumps a tooth or was installed improperly, this is not to replace the belt, but to readjust it.
to check this, pull the valve cover off, and check the gears by the arrows reading “up” if they are not aligned perfectly, if it looks like it’s off a tooth, then it is…
here’s what mine looked like…

here are the steps… please be careful while working on anything on your car… i am not held responsible for any damage or anything that is done.

1 - park somewhere even and where u wouldnt be bugged to move
2 - let the car cool down, make sure the car’s ebrakes are up, and use tire blocks aswell… (bricks or blocks of wood… anything like that)
3 - loosen the nuts for the wheel (just enough so you can loosen it easily when that side is jacked up)
4 - jack up the driver side, best using the jack point under the fender
5 - pull the wheel off
6 - set the white mark on the crank pulley with line/mark on belt cover…
7 - remove the belt cover that uses two 10mm bolts holding it on
8 - pull belt off of the cam gears
9 - line the cam gears to TDC (top dead center) using the head as the line, not the ground… (the motor sits at an angle vs. the ground)
10 - after lined up, put the belt back on with everything TDC (top dead center)
11 - with the belt on the gears, everything set TDC (top dead center) turn the crank pulley counter-clockwise - while facing the crank pulley - to 3 teeth turns
12 - tighten up the tensioner bolt (forgot the lb. of torque)
13 - check tension on the belt by twisting the belt area from the exhaust cam to the crank pulley if too tight or too loose, redo steps 11 to 13
14 - bolt the belt cover back on
15 - bolt the valve cover back on
16 - put the wheel on, put the nuts on hand tight, then tighten slightly
17 - lower the jack back onto the wheel, tighten nuts
18 - go out for a spin
-done

hope this helps anyone…
