AEM fuel rail install PROBLEM!!!

Long story short, I just bought an AEM fuel rail and I am trying to install some RC 310 injectors w/ OEM 7.3x2.2 injector seals AND lubrication into the rail. They won’t go in without tearing. What am I doing wrong? FYI, these are seals that AEM sent me and match Honda 7.3x2.2 green (the only size I can find) injector seals. NOW, I did find out that newer K-series injectors use smaller seals, 6.95x1.7, and they may fit. If I don’t get experienced feedback tonight, I may have to head to Honda in the A.M.

FYI, I would not advise to buy any newer AEM fuel rail unless they change the injector bore; personally, I will not buy another AEM product.

Anyways, I had to take my AEM fuel rail to a local tooling and machine company to get ‘customized’ for the engine it was purchased for. The bore of the stock fuel rail was about 7.2mm, whereas the bore of the AEM fuel rail was roughly 6.87mm, causing the injector seals to tear, even with adequate lubrication. Luckly, come Tuesday, I will finally have a fitting & functional fuel rail, thanks to the local tooling company, not AEM.

My Aem b series fuel rail fits fine…but thing is it leaks where that extra hole is at…it has the nut that goes in there and I have tighten it. Now I would have to use some of that white tape look like and put on over the threads so it won’t leak…

How old is it?

The one I bought is brand new and AEM claims that the injectors will fit but the holes in the AEM rail are a bit smaller than the OE. I just find it rediculous that AEM couldn’t match their injector hole diameter to Honda’s injector hole diameter. Poor manufacturing detail, if you ask me. The same could be said for your leaking plug.

Most any plug/fitting (besides an AN fitting) should use teflon tape… whether oil/fuel, or whathaveyou.

Though as far as the diameter difference, there’s no excuse for that.
