after a few years out...just got a beat 93 gs

anyone have an easy way to find out if my block is cracked? I got the car up on stands and the drain plug is a god damned rubber stopper with a wingnut /bolt combo LOL. I think for now I’m gonna pull the head off and see if there is any obvious cracking between cylinders…will also try and get under the car with some engine bright and get it as clean as possible to check it out down there. If there is nothing obvious I’ll order a new pan, and all the top end gaskets. If I am not planning on doing anything fun with this motor would an ebay gasket kit be acceptable? I really only need it to last a year while I build a b20 up…

Well I swooped up a b1 head last nigh…now to get some time to get a head gasket and put in some work

Does anyone have anything to say about the ebay or felpro head gasket idea if I only need it to last a year???

rs is better then gs

blue is better then black for interior and o keeping your car real simple will make it less likely from being stolen or messed wit even janky integras get there radio stolen and door panels lifted but as for me i HATE people who put drag dr20 wheels on there integra get yellow fogs put type r motors in there da or non type r and then beat em to shit then try to sell em like get for real please im keeping my RS for life

DA>DC2 ++= Always

I was thinking about all the comfort crap I was going to swap over from the GS when I realized that all I want is a nice clean simple lightweight dependable fun to drive RS…so my plan has changed from anything I said at the beginning of the thread. I will probably just get rid of the GS shell once I take the rad support off of it…I may even just pull all the sellable parts off it and scrap it… for now I’ll get this B1 head cleaned up/adjusted/ installed and get her on the road.

Anybody think Megan coil over sleeves with some tokico shocks would be a terrible way to get started on suspension?

LOL!!!

Totally agree with this. I have same set up well b20z=400 bucks plus put together a turbo set up at 10/12 psi = planning to get about 350 whp. I do have cams etc etc though but without them the motor is still amazing! :wink:

In one of those pics you can see the drivers side rail thing behind the rad support is bent…anyone with experience think that will be really hard to straighten once the Rad support is off?
