im talking about having to trim the two tabs on the headlights and if you have already did the wire switch mod then just plug and play thats what i did . there is a jumper harness inside so you just plug your bulbs to that then plug the harness from the car to the new jumper harness . so yeah no mods required .
And that’s assuming people have done the wire mod or trim the tabs, which not everyone has done.
It’s no mods for you, doesn’t mean it will be the same for others.
So just to get this straight, in order to get these to function properly, you DO need to do the 9004 to 9007 conversion (flip the wires on the stock harness) prior to installing these lights?
I did a quick test fit (during the day), lights came on so i just assumed everything was working fine. But whereas it was day time, I couldn’t really tell if they were dimmer then what they should be.
i have these lights with the black housing on my car and just straight wired them up…and now my high beam light always stays on inside the dash…and if i click for the high beams to come on, my lights go rediculously low…is this the prob you had???..how’d you fix it???
i think i’m using the 9007’s as that what fits and thats what is printed on the housing to use…
Correct, you have to switch the wires for the 9007’s to work properly. There is a thread on the forum with a pretty good how-to. That’s what I did…

Here is the thread with the good write up, for those who need it and are too lazy to search
you dont need to do the 9004 - 9007 conversion . but if you do have it done you wont need to trim the tabs or anything the bulb just drops in .
yo im about to buy a pair of those because right now my stock fogs are starting to melt because they are always on. i did the fog light trick and i use luminics h3 bulbs. but for the past 2 years the housing is really starting to melt. do you guys think i will have the same problem? is the front housing glass or cheap plastic? thanks
its plastic but i have my fogs on always also and havnt noticed any problem with the lens or the housing
Ok does any one have a guide or information on how to install these heaqdlights?

Thanks,
These are the adjusting screws. You can use a large Philips head or large Flathead

The cons of these lights is the horrible light scatter. So no matter how you adjust them the light will be all over the place.
How do you replace the foglights? I see that the back is sealed but there is one screw i see. I was looking at these on ebay today
in that back view pic, you should see a couple of rubber hoses on the left. The plastic piece they run through comes off with a screw, and gives you access to the fogs
ahh ic, Yeah i was thinkin of copping a set but wasnt sure.
i have the black ones and im not sure if im using the 9007 or the 9004 how do i tell the difference?
They don’t come with the headlights (at least mine didn’t). So what did you buy? On the front those headlights, there’s a 9007 stamp, so that’s what they’re wired for. Take your bulbs out and there should be something stamped on the base, telling you what the bulb is
i got them when i bought the teg. im gonna asume they are 9007 until i work up enough energy to go out and check :dozing:
